Acer Aspire X1200-U1520A review: Acer Aspire X1200-U1520A

Acer Aspire X1200-U1520A

64-bit Windows Vista PC with an impressive list of features for less than $500; compact case; HDMI output.

Limited expansion options because of its cramped interior; lacks built-in Wi-Fi; may require some tweaking to achieve proper HDMI output; no standalone digital audio output.

The Acer Aspire X1200-U1520A is a speedy, compact, low-end desktop that's powerful enough to serve as a light-duty home theater PC. Expansion is limited by an especially cramped interior (even for a small PC), but the total package is worthwhile for PC...

Acer Aspire X1200 SFF system review

Acer one-ups the competition by providing 4GB of system memory and complimenting it with a 64-bit OS, Windows Vista Home Premium. This was my first time working with a 64-bit OS for an extended period of time and I couldn’t tell much difference from a...

simple on windows 7 an 8

stock its ok to look at websites its old so its cheap an u can get cpu upgrade for cheap an the case is nice but don't expect to have the same results as me unless u get a new case psu cpu an grapics card but it is a very bugget build

well I got this as just a board an saw the NVidia chipset so I bought a 1.8 phenom x4 an it worked juss fine I put the board in a matx case to live with a gtx560 video card(with a corsair gs700 psu) an was able to play gta4 on max but had detail down

the only bad thing I see (remember im on windows 7) is the computer only runs at 400mhz but I had spare low latency ram I installed but it only read 400mhz still but thats not bad really it still plays games no bottleneck until bf4 I plan on am3 next

Gets the job done well

Great speed, real compact, plenty of USB ports and card slots, comes with all the accessories you'll need, and comes with that giant monitor. A really great value

Comes preloaded with the typical junk software, but it can be removed fairly easily. Doesn't come with a disc copy of Vista Home, so reformatting will be difficult

Further comments on my review

It looks like a lot of people didn't like my review, so I will explain some more. The computer I got shorted out the first time I plugged it in, and then it never powered up. It has the strangest on/off switch I have ever seen: a bent piece of plastic...

Appears to be a good deal

Computer didn't work

Not one bit satisfied (so far)

The machine I got is totally defective. New Egg promptly agreed to replace it, and I am awaiting that. But I suspect that someone somewhere knowingly sent me a worthless machine. I will update my review when I finally get a working unit, but if I could...

Good sized, inexpensive monitor that seems to work well

Could not even get the computer to turn on. Cables and connections don't match up, and are not the same as what is on the instructions. No manual or discs for the computer

Great value, everything so far has worked without a hitch. Very fast. The monitor looks great, although, I wish it had a glossy finish. But for the price, you can't complain

Nothing major. This thing comes loaded with software, which is a pain, but you come to expect that. My biggest issue was that the stock power supply is so weak. I foresee some problems when I install a video card that needs a bigger power supply,...

Don't Buy ACER!!

Great Drive plus light scribe for very cheap what else could you ask for.

None

I purchased this AX1200 from ACER several months back. I could not get audio working over the HDMI port. After many many e-mail exchanges with their inept customer NO service, they agreed to take it back for repair. Upon receiving it they claimed the...

Great Economy PC

Buy it, great piece and great value

This PC is a great economy PC, and it does what it is supposed to do. Its not a gaming PC ect, its a general Internet/home/school use PC. Its fast and the dual core CPU runs smooth. The screen is great too. I did not have any issues with the internet...

This has a bit of heat inside the case. Make sure you keep it clear around the sides and all. I may upgrade the stock CPU fan with a higher CFM one to aid in cooling the CPU and surrounding chips. You cant really get a better heatsink in there due to...
