Acer Aspire X3400

At first glance, you might notice a similarity between the $450 Acer Aspire X3400 and the $600 Gateway SX2311-03 budget desktop (prices as of September 24, 2010). But even though both budget desktops have comparably modest dimensions and a certain...

Great price-to-performance ratio ; Large number of USB ports for external connections

Internal construction limits upgrades ; External connection options lack diversity

Acer's inexpensive Aspire X3400 makes a strong showing for a reasonable price.

Acer Aspire X3400-U2012 SFF PC Review

It's a tough world for a consumer desktop PC. Laptops have stolen all the glamour; you need to offer something special if you're going to stand out among the rank and file of stationary computing. Acer's Aspire X3400-U2012 may not be a true portable PC...

We’d like to see a bigger hard-drive as standard, and obviously the GPU falls short of anything a semi-serious gamer might be looking for, but considering the $459.99 MRSP there’s plenty to like about the Acer Aspire X3400-U2012. Solid – if not...

Acer Aspire X3400

All in all, it's not the best machine on the market, but you could do a lot worse.

Good processor capability, runs as quiet as a mouse. Also has decent storage. I've got the terabyte version and I've only just filled quarter of it

Graphics chip tends to get hot very quickly. I voided my warranty by adding a couple more cooling fans. Also there is no built-it support for overclocking the CPU. I'ts not massively important, but it's a feature I would use if I could. The stock power...

Faster & easy to use than the ASUS

It works !!!! thats all i want, i replaced a ASUS piece of junk that would loose hard drive every month

Make sure you install the 64 bit drivers for your printer , i had a hard time with a lexmark driver until i found out it was a 32 bitNot ACER's fault Lexmark site is not too clear

This computer is AWESOME! And the price; oh the price, is much better than at any store. But I had to send it in to the manufacturer to have the drive repaired. I hear it's a very common problem, so beware. But it was repaired/replaced, it wasn't any...

keep it cool

I live in an RV and travel the country in summer and head to Arizona in winter; I do not have a lot of room in my RV for a computer and I don't like laptops. So the X3400 was the right size for my 36 foot trailer. After a lot of research I decided on...

I got blue screen of death on the first boot out of the box. This continues every couple of days.
