Acer Aspire Z5610

Acer's $899 Aspire Z5610 makes life awfully difficult for its sub-$1,000 all-in-one competition. The reason is that its 23-inch LCD is the largest in this price range by far, to the point where it even encroaches on value of Apple's 21.5-inch $1,199...

Largest screen among sub-$1,000 all-in-ones; better-than-average ATI graphics chip enables smooth HD video playback (downloaded or streamed-only because of the lack of a Blu-ray drive).

Disjointed design; small 320GB hard drive.

You could say that the Acer Aspire Z5610 has a few flaws, but it might be more accurate to call them sacrifices. After all, we don't expect that Acer could sell a 23-inch all-in-one for less than $1,000 without trimming a few costs. Fortunately, Acer...

Acer Aspire Z5610 All-in-One PC

Acer's Aspire Z5610 is kind of like a budget version of the Gateway One ZX6810-01. Both have 23-inch, 1080p-capable multitouch displays and top-notch general performance, but the $900 Acer (price as of December 8, 2009) lacks the $1400 Gateway's gaming...

Large multi-touch display; good touch software ; Wireless-N and gigabit networking

Paltry 320GB hard disk space ; DVD writer, but no Blu-ray

Despite a small hard disk and no Blu-ray drive, the 23-inch Z5610 still offers good bang for your buck.

Acer Aspire Z5610-U9072

The Acer Aspire Z5610-U9072 ($899 list) is 23-inch all-in-one PC that stresses usability over extraneous features. A lot of all-in-one's treat the touch screen like a gimmick, but not the Z5610. Acer has clever woven multi-touch features and...

Gesture control on touch screen. Unique design

No TV tuner. No DVI port

Acer Aspire AZ5610-U9072 is a great PC for the whole family, whether you just want to quickly jump online for social networking or play games.

Acer Aspire Z5610

Snazzier than most all-in-ones, the Aspire establishes a good price/performance middle ground between Atom-powered nettops and pricier all-in-ones.

More stylish than most all-in-ones we've seen; eSATA port for fast external storage; wireless keyboard, mouse

Components, performance lag behind competing high-end all-in-ones

The Acer Aspire Z5610 gets high points for style, and its performance handily bests Atom-powered nettop all-in-ones that cost a few hundred dollars less. If you’re onthe hunt for a good-looking family PC with touch capabilities, it’s a good choice. But...

"Overheats under full load"

when I run DIVX Plus Converter on the Z5610 the CPU is running (naturally) at a high load. Speed Fan 4.42 shows rising temperatures going north of 90 degrees C. If only DIVX Converter runs the temperatures of the CPU cores is around 92 to 94 degrees C....

looked like a good deal - but you can not use it for CPU intensive programs.

I have a Z5610 for approx 9 months but just recently used it to convert videos using DIVX Plus converter. If this runs in the background and I just surf the internet, the fan stops and short after that the PC switches off.

"A great unit for your money"

I have had my Aspire Z5610 for a few months now, and have not looked back. A lot of people would cringe when you say touch screen, but Acer seems to have perfected the technology. The wireless keyboard and mouse are far better than ones I have...

I found this unit easy to use. A crisp clear picture, touch screen is responsive, and reacts well to the touch; the unit looks good and feels well built.

Nothing as of yet but I will keep looking

"It's real eye candy."

Under the name Z5610 several different config...

The "All in One Touch Screen" is a very attractive looking machine. The lighting for the keyboard comes in handy working in the dark.Display quality is nice.No box, no wires except the power supply and TV cable. Easy pickup to take to other room

No Blue-Ray. The keyboard feels a little cheapish but works OK. Typing some large document with the on-screen keyboard would seem tiring, however that's probably not it's original purpose
