Bad Acer Support/Documentation

The computer and other items arrived super fast - Newegg is excellent when it comes to prompt shipping and delivery.

The computer is inexpensive and is probably good value for money

I wanted to add a 2gb stick of Ram. The computer didn't come with any user manual so I assumed that I could find instructions on adding ram in a downloadable manual online. No. Even finding the manual takes ages. Then I assumed that the instructions...

Some limitations, not a bad computer though

This rig is intended to be mostly for Skype & web browsing, and although the hitches with the video card were a little annoying and took me some time to figure out, I'm pretty happy with the end result. And again: Newegg open-box came through like a...

Relatively little bloatware came pre-installed ; nice design: small-ish, black, clean, tidy... not bad ; worked out of the box, no problems ; got this as an open-box newegg special (for VERY cheap), it came in 100% perfect condition, all accessories,...

My main disappointment was when it came to adding a new video card: I forgot to look into power requirements, and found out the hard way this computer only has a 220W PSU. Rolled the dice on a Radeon 5450, which is a super-low consumption model...

Thank Goodness, a review solved my prblem!

This cvomputer will not take anything but 2 GB sticks of RAM, don't order any 4 GB sticks! Other than looking incompetent to my customers and thinking thet the Acere was bad, this is a decent cheap workstation. I just wish that they had mentioned not...

It worked on arrival, was what I expectred, a decent sheap wortk computer with no fancies on it

I also ordered a four GB stick to bring the 2 GB of RAM up to 6 GB rather than the 8 GBs it was listed as capable of using. I hate throwing away RAM or worse storing it and never using it. I am glad to read the problrem as I am the technician and neve...

DO NOT BUY THIS SYTEM! Tech specs are wrong and Newegg and ACER will leave you holding the bag.

Nice little machine. Built well. For the one guy that complained about ease of upgrade, you are right ; ACER is negligent in documentation. Generic manual only. You need to snap off the front panel, remove the DVD/HDD cage and then you can access the...

BEWARE - MACHINE DOES NOT SUPPORT 8GB ; IT ONLY SUPPORTS 4GB (2Gb x2) ; The mainboard in the machine is an ECS (Made for ACER) G41T-AD ; I ordered a Crucial 4Gb x 2 kit to upgrade to 8Gb ; Hard P.O.S.T error (solid beep) ; Tried 1 stick, other stick...

Excellent system for the price

In June,2012 I bought this system (refurbished) and am very happy with it. To upgrade my old XP machine, it would have cost hundreds more. After some research for a new system, I decided on this model. Great value for the price.

Good little computer

When i looked around the internet for cheap computers to be installed at a local business people are actually buying these for gaming computers, burning them out and writing bad reviews cause they cant run games. These are NOT gaming computers smart...

Cheap. Order 11 of them. Some the carrying handle for the box box as the UPS guy was bringing them but the packaging was good an all work great

Lack of USB ports. Would like to have at LEAST 3 prefer 4 but there's only 2 which the mouse and keyboard use

where's the wireless???

I didn't look to see that this computer didn't have wireless capability. It's disappointing that you can have a brand new computer without wireless capabilities. Going cheaper is not always better. It's a good thing that I only use my computer for home...

Great cheap speedy computer

I recommend this computer if you're like me...I don't play computer games that require a lot of processing power and I mainly use my computer for typing school assignments and internet browsing. Very space saving with a cool design. The only reason I...

Beware

In less than 1 year, when the hard disk on this goes bad, they will make you pay to ship it to them for repair.
