Acer Predator AG6-710 (70002)

The Acer Predator AG6-710 (70002) is a mean-looking, powerful gaming PC, but it's expensive compared with similarly performing desktops. And there's little room for expansion.

Strong gaming performance. Eye-catching design. Includes gaming keyboard and mouse.

Expensive. Large. Not much room for upgrades.

Conclusions The Acer Predator AG6-710 (70002) is a unique-looking yet cumbersome gaming desktop with a fast processor and powerful graphics card, but it's expensive given that there's little room for upgrades and its overall performance capabilities...

Acer Predator G6 Review : War Machine

The desktop Acer calls Predator G6 ( G6-710 for this review) is a monster. It's not the largest and most all-inclusive PC they offer - it's not even the most massive Predator. Instead, it's a great combination of elements. It's powerful enough to run...

Acer Predator G6-710-70002

It all fits in with the extreme design of this gaming desktop, which looks like the tank tread of some kind of future war machine. Or, as Acer describes it, an "intimidating armor-inspired design." Even the airflow vent directing air from the front to...

The Acer Predator G6 fits our VR sweet-spot components into a big, distinctive case for under $2,000. Performance is great, basic software overclocking is built in, and there's a swappable drive bay in the front.

You really have to like the sci-fi tank look to appreciate the design. Not enough front- or top-panel ports for all your VR accessories. The case interior is not as user-accessible as some.

The big, bold Acer Predator G6 scores for VR performance, but it's not exactly the most sophisticated-looking desktop we've ever seen.

Acer Predator G6 review

The Acer Predator desktop line has some of my favorite promotional copy of all time, at least when it comes to PCs. "Fight on the forefront of intergalactic gaming with a commanding advantage," the Predator's splash page says, promising that the system...

Acer Predator G6 review

Acer's Predator G6 can hunt now, but limited upgrades may limit its glory years.

Acer’s Predator G6 doesn’t dominate its field, as does Acer’s Predator 17 gaming laptop, but it’s a solid entry. At $2,000 it ranks mid-pack in value, coming in higher than the iBuyPower Revolt 2 and Asus’ similar G11CD desktop, which is $1,700. But...

Acer Predator G6 Review and Ratings

You may or may not be keen on the industrial-looking outside--and the cramped inside gave us pause—but the Predator G6 undeniably brings on the frames for PC gamers tied to 1080p and 1440p monitors.

Effective gaming performance for 1080p, 1440p, and light 4K play ; Included mouse and keyboard are much better than average ; Runs quiet while gaming ; Automatic overclocking ; Hot-swap hard drive bay

Polarizing design ; Outer construction feels plasticky ; Cramped inside, given the size of the outer shell

If all we had to look at was a piece of paper with the Predator G6’s specs, we’d say it’s a respectable value. Although its Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 isn’t the top-dog GTX 980 Ti variant included in competing systems, it’s still more than capable of...

Acer Predator G6 Review

If you want a gaming PC that's as good at turning heads as it is at running new games at their highest potential, the Acer Predator G6 ($1,499 starting, $1,999 as reviewed) is a great choice. This monstrous tower's GTX 980 graphics card and 6th-Gen...

Striking design ; Strong Nvidia GTX 980 gaming performance ; Easy-access hard drive bay and headset dock ; Included SteelSeries accessories

No tool-free upgradability

The Acer Predator G6 is a beast inside and out, offering a striking yet practical design and blazing-fast gaming performance.

Acer Predator G6 review

A big gaming PC with too little going on inside

One-button overclocking ; Hidden, handy features ; Strong gaming performance

Excessively thick, plastic exterior ; Cramped interior ; Messy wirework

Upgradability isn't this desktop PC's strong suit, but beginner PC gamers will love the Acer Predator G6 for its performance and handy features – until it's time to update.
