BP550 Plus

Price is decent for what it does. Hard to find reviews on it. Got the first unit at a Staples when my Kingwin 1400 watts died after 3 years. Staples was the only local shop selling PSU. First unit worked for 2.5 years no problems. Still works.

Second unit i have owned, First one still works after 2.5 years. Second one is just installed 36 hours ago and it works too. 444 watts on the 12v rail. The PCIE 6 pin and 6+2 pin both draw from Rail 3 with 25 amps ; Powers a Core i5 760 @ 3.9Ghz =...

Documentation is lacking on specific details about rail assignments. Cables are a bit stiff, but just a bit ; Emailed Antec, they confirmed- Both the 6 pin and 6+2 pin PCIE power cables draw from Rail 3 at 25 amps. U can run a 970 on this PSU

Good card, Great value, better than Xfired 270Xs.

I have had this power supply for over 4 years without problems. I am now building a new pc and plan to keep the power supply. Will highly recommend

Antec slipping

Antec is my favorite PS company, but buying the 500W continuous power worked stable for a long time before failure

The longevity is not there anymore, the powersupply began squealing at a high pitch, it was outside of 3 year warranty to so no support

Great Power Supply

In my business, I have purchased dozens of power supplies from Antec. I have never been disappointed with them.

The partially modular design allows me to keep my cases cleaner by not including cables I don't need

It would be nice to have the option to purchase this in black instead of silver

Solid basic power supply

Bought one of these to replace a PSU in one of my older systems. It's quiet and supplies reliable power.

Good price, quiet, steady power delivery

WORKED FOR 3HRS THEN DIED

ANTEC DON'T LET US DOWN.

ANTEC

BUILT A SYSTEM ON IT. AFTER I HAD ALL THE WINDOW UPDATES DONE AND READY TO INSTALL SOME SOFTWARE THE COMPUTER SHUT OFF. PUT ON MY POWER SUPPLY TESTER AND IT FAILED ALL THE VOLTAGES. NOW IN THE PROCESS OF RMA. HOPEFULLY THIS IS AND ISOLATED INCIDENT

Antec BP550 Plus

Six years later, it works like the first day I had it

It was an odd choice for antec to make one graphics card power line non-modular. This is a minor annoyance to me, as the machine the power supply is in has absolutely no video out (its a headless server). This is a very minor gripe

Works Fine

Needed a PS with 20A or more on each rail. This fit the bill. Simple modular cable design. Only needed one SATA power cable to cover three drives

One PCIe cable is hard wired on the primary rail with the Motherboard PS connector and CPU 12v. Since I did not need it, I tied it up out of the way. Would have been nice to be able to remove it
