Antec BP550 Plus

This one went in my home office build! Looking forward to many years of service. I have an old Antec 450 in a PIII dual socket 370 it's 14years old still works great!

Very reliable semi-modular PSU...I have used Antec for years never let me down. You can pay more money for the "name" PSU's and they are great too but for a budget build you won't go wrong with ANTEC

None as it never powered up

The not powering up thing is a major con

Short lived

Got this on sale and bought because of the familiar Antec name. This was my first power supply from them and it will likely be my last.

Modular power supply at a nice price

After less than two weeks of use the PCI-E connectors are dead

Right choice

I calculated the power I need before selecting a PSU. 6HDDs ~18W per HDD, CPU ~80W, all other stuff - up to 100W. Got approximately 300W. Which means I can fit a nice videocard in there too if I decide to convert this WORKstation into a gaming PC. Why...

Honestly, I got this PSU only because it is Antec. And man, was I right! The wires are of the correct length, the number of SATA power connectors is just what I needed. And it has 3 +12V rails (regulators), which is perfect for eliminating interference...
