Antec Neo Power 650

NeoPower 650 Blue

It was not so long ago I was in the market for a new power supply, and after long consideration, I settled on the original Antec NeoPower 480W. The original NeoPower is legendary for its stability, and the unit I have still runs strong in my secondary...

The contents of the package include the power supply, the screws and various cables. Physically attached to the PSU are the 24-pin ATX cable, the 4-pin ATX cable, an 8-pin PCI-E cable, and the 8-pin EPS cable.

Antec NeoPower 650 Review

To the educated masses, power supplies are the necessary evil close to the top of the build list when specing out a new machine. Unfortunately, for the rest, power supplies seem to be an afterthought in the build process and often, what little budget...

Component cables reduce wire clutter ; Stable rails ; Active PFC ; Very quiet ; Powder coated finish ; Three 12V rails

Only four SATA connectors ; No RPM monitoring for the fan

Antec has consistently offered high quality power supplies, and the NeoPower 650 does not deviate. The component system offers to reduce wire clutter, but for a full tower case, as in this build, all the cables were used except for the second PCIe...

Antec Neopower 650W Blue Power Supply Review Product Number: Neopower 650 Blue Price: $134.82 @ Directcanada Packaging: Retail Fan Size: 1x 120mm

Good voltage regulation ; High efficiency ; Great ripple suppression ; 5-year warranty ; Quiet performance

Cable length of ATX, CPU and 8-pin PCI-E cables ; Blue LEDs may not be for everyone ; No bag for unused modular cables

It is good to go into a review without any expectations about the product you are reviewing because then you won't be disappointed by any

Review: Antec NeoPower 650 Blue Power Supply Unit

Iain Laskey thinks there's nothing to feel blue about with Antec's latest power supply

Extremely quiet, flexible cable options, stability

Pricey, not enough SATA connections

We think the Antec NeoPower 650 Blue is a really good unit. It's quiet, stable, has a nice blue glow and flexible cabling options. The 5 year warranty is the icing on the cake for a very nice power supply that we can wholeheartedly recommend. The only...

7 YEARS!

Built this PC for my parents some time back and it's been chugging along. Asus P5Q with E6600 and an NVidia 8800 GPU. Parents live some distance away and I was going to look at upgrading from XP to windows 10. Thinking the PC was only about 5 years old...

Quiet. Modular plugs allow you to remove unneeded cables for a less cluttered interior. Blue light on power supply.

Still going strong!

It's been 4 years and 3 months since I've purchased this power supply. The reliability of this power supply is astonishing. This PSU has survived my last three upgrades. First computer was a Core2Duo 3.0 @ 3.6 with a GTX 280 and 7600GT, three 7200rpm...

- Modular cables - Reliable - Quiet

- Could use more connectors - Cables could be longer

REDUCES CABLE CLUTTER

I have several Antec Power Supplies that still work, but are underpowered or have too many hard wired older connectors that are becoming obsolete. In 10-15 years I've had one Antec PS go bad & it was promptly replaced with BETTER model, no extra...

Quiet. Modular design keeps excess cables out of computer. You can order additional modular cables from Antec Store. I just built a new computer with all SATA powered drives, 2 DVD plus 6 HD. Ordering 2 more SATA modular cables, allowed me to install...

Newegg doesn't stock them. It looks like Antec is the only source ; Antec lists the extra cables as spare parts, instead of accessories. A phone call to Antec put me on the right path to order the other cables I wanted. The extra cables are ONLY...

System specs: Phenom II X4 965 BE Gigabyte GTX 460(1 gig) 4GB Crucial Asus 790 evo mobo WD Black 750GB HD In an Antec Nine Hundred case

So, so, soooooo quiet! It doesnt even sound like there's a fan in it ; The air the fan blows isnt even warm, and it's been pretty hot out lately ; Modular, although I kinda wish the only permanent cables were the two power plugs ; Cable length is...
