Apple Mac Mini/2.53GHz

Impressive set of features ; No longer a very poor value compared to the $599 model ; Tiny size ; All the dramatic improvements of the Early 2009 model plus better performance

Performance increase over $599 model still not dramatic ; Difficult to upgrade ; Slow hard drive

Apple Mac mini/2GHz (120GB, Early 2009)

Performance comparable to that of the $799 model ; Significantly improved graphics performance compared to older models ; FireWire 800 ; Dual video outputs with support for extended Desktop mode and 30-inch displays ; Tiny size ; Five USB ports

Difficult to upgrade ; Even slower hard drive than $799 model ; Too little RAM

Mac mini reviews contest: We have a winner

We know it's taken us freaking long enough, but we finally have a winner in our Mac mini reviews contest. What was the holdup? Well, for starters we received more entries than we expected, but what really complicated matters was the quality of the...

Refurb Apple Mac mini Core 2 Duo 2GHz for $499 + free shipping, more

The Apple Store continues to discount several factory-refurbished Apple Mac mini computers, as listed below. Each carries free shipping and is well under the best total price we could find for a new unit. Sales tax is added where applicable. A 1-year...

Mac Mini Core 2 Duo/2.26 GHz (Late 2009)

This round of Mac mini updates offers comparatively minor improvements from the models introduced in the spring of 2009. The processors are faster, the hard drives are bigger, and the included Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics now take advantage of 256MB...

Rounding out the list of improvements, the newest Mac minis also ship, as you would expect, with Snow Leopard. They continue to include iLife '09

Apple's smallest Macs gets a subtle, but solid, speed bump

The latest Mac mini models have made some impressive gains in terms of performance, without gaining bulk or higher price tags. Still a great bargain, especially for those who already own a mouse, keyboard, and display, the Mac mini's size and price...

Small size ; least expensive Mac available ; faster than ever before

Hard drive and graphics performance underwhelming ; slower, shorter-ranged 802.11g wireless networking

Internally, the mini mixes the new with the old. The biggest change is the inclusion of Intel's Core 2 Duo processors. Running at clock speeds of either 1.83GHz or 2GHz , this second generation of Intel's Core Duo processor supports twice the amount of...

Mac mini

From a price/performance perspective, the Mac mini is an amazing computer; maybe the most amazing computer Apple's ever made. It's like a full-featured demo of a Mac: giving you access to all the features, and maybe leaving you hungrier for more....

Weaknesses: Very limited expandability. You will quickly discover its limits. Limited value to existing Mac users.

Mac Mini

The Mac Mini provides an alternative to Windows-based home computer systems. Its slight design and wireless abilities make it a capable alternative.

The Mac Mini has a small tower design and runs the OS X operating system, plus you’ll get great help and support

The best processor available is only a 3rd generation Intel chip

The Mac Mini performs well and gives you a viable alternative to Windows-based PCs.
