I ordered a Mac mini in mid-February to serve as a replacement and companion for my iBook G3 and work-issued iBook G4. I opted to get the 1.42 GHz model with some upgrades (512 MB RAM, SuperDrive, AirPort, Bluetooth). With a display, keyboard, and...

Nice collection of included software, much better in appearance and included hardware than budget Windows boxes, decent performance for most tasks

Needs more RAM, graphics card on the weak side, relies on relatively expensive and slower 2.5″ hard disk

The Mac mini is about as close to perfection as a budget/home PC gets.

The Apple SuperDrive Mac Mini addresses some of the shortcomings of its US$499 (S$839.04) predecessor, making it a well-rounded home PC at its base configuration.

Affordable; extremely compact; whisper quiet; ships standard with 512MB of memory; includes iLife '05

G4 processor, not G5; peripherals--even keyboard and mouse--add to the bill if you don't already own them; case can't be easily opened; slow hard drive; only two USB 2.0 ports

Apple Mac Mini original - does not have Intel

The rating is very high because I've included the rating for the supplier, who is brilliant, but this had to be reduced by the rating for the actual product.

"Small and powerfully built"

I personally think it is priced a little on the high side with the price war going on at sim lim sq. Now the computer system should be at a lower price by at least another 10%. Other than that apple mini should be an in thing. Very lifely interface.
