ASUS Eee Top ET1602 touchscreen all-in-one gets reviewed

ASUS's touchscreen Eee Top ET1602 all-in-one was certainly adored in a pre-staged way by small children when it launched last month, but Slashgear's taken it f...

EEE TOP 1602

With its Eee Top 1602 all-in-one desktop ($600 as of February 12, 2009; available in early March), Asus carries the Eee name over from its popular netbook line to the desktop. And though you won't want to run Adobe Photoshop on an Eee Top (the machine...

Easy-to-use, touch-friendly interface. Compact, attractive design.

No optical drive. Some utilities are clunky.

If you're looking for a computer for the kitchen, for your kids, or perhaps for the technophobe in your life, the Eee Top may be just the ticket

ASUS Eee Top 1602

The Internet desktop is here in the form of the inexpensive, low-power ASUS Eee Top 1602.

Compact all-in-one PC. It runs Windows. Nice styling. Touch screen.

Only 1GB of RAM. Smallish mouse lacks back button. Weak 3D graphics. Can't run most of our benchmark tests. Screen is single-touch only. No Internet security software included. ; Watch the ASUS Eee Top 1602!

Asus EeeTop PC ET1602

Review updated 02/01/10: The Eee Top ET1602 helped pioneer the low-cost, touchscreen all-in-one PC. It's a sleek little 15.6-inch unit, with a user-friendly touch interface, but it faces stiff competition from newer rivals with larger screens at a...

Compact, attractive design ; Easy-to-use, touch-friendly interface

Some utilities are clunky ; No optical drive

The ET1602 was among the first low-cost touchscreen all-in-ones, but it now feels overpriced compared to newer competition.

Asus Eee Top ET1602 review: Asus Eee Top ET1602

Asus Eee Top ET1602

Most affordable all-in-one PC on the market; semiportable and easy to set up, thanks to its small size and self-contained design; boasts a touch interface with a few useful apps.

Touch software only semiuseful; decent performance for an Atom system, but horrid compared with similarly priced laptops and desktops.

Thanks to its price, size, touch screen, and semiportability, the Asus Eee Top ET1602 presents a lot of usage options. Put it in the kitchen, den, or even a hallway, and it can serve as an easy information hub for your family. Just don't put it on a...

Review: Asus ET1602 Eee Top

All-in-one computers are yesteryear's gas guzzling SUVs. Sure, they're stylish and full-featured. But they're also ridiculously extravagant for everyday tasks. Asus ET1602 Eee Top 7/10...

Finally, an all-in-one for the Top Ramen set. Quick and responsive touch interface. Sports 1/8-inch audio jacks for surround speakers. Compact design has integrated storage for both keyboard and stylus. Integrated 802.11n and gigabit ethernet ensure...

Underpowered for heavy web video. A wired keyboard and mouse — on an all-in-one? Heats up after extended poke and prod sessions. Anemic 160-GB hard drive. Even a cheapy, noisy optical drive would’ve been nice. No battery means no mobile computing

ASUS Eee Top ET1602 Touchscreen Nettop Review

At first glance, ASUS' Eee Top ET1602 is the epitome of a niche product. Packing nettop-spec hardware in an all-in-one form factor, with a touchscreen and general design that seem to have stopped by HP's TouchSmart and the Apple iMac along the way,...

Asus Eee Top ET1602 review - Liliputing

The Asus Eee Top isn't a netbook. But this all-in-one desktop computer shares many of the design elements of one. It has a low power, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU; it lacks an optical disc drive; and with a price between $500 and $600, it's far cheaper...

The Eee Top is an interesting machine. It looks like an iMac, but runs like a netbook — with a touchscreen display. I think it’s plenty powerful enough for day to day use if you spend most of your time on a computer using web browsers, editing office...

ASUS EeeTop PC ET1602 (All-In-One) Desktop Review

The EeeTop PC ET1602 is an All-in-One Touch-screen enabled light-weight desktop from ASUS.

The EeeTop is a very handy All-in-One, much thanks to the small foot-print and portable nature. While it is rather low in spec and could fail to satisfy the market who is in demand of higher processing capability, I deem the unit sufficient for the...
