Asus Essentio CM5671-05

Asus finally gave the Essentio CM5671-05's chassis a makeover, but its good looks and 1TB hard drive don't change the system's unremarkable components. If you limit your common tasks to Web browsing and media playback, you'll be satisfied with the...

Ample storage space; HDMI and optical audio ports let you connect it seamlessly to an HDTV; updated design with easy access to USB ports and media card reader

Slow multithreaded performance; lacks Wi-Fi; competing systems offer more horsepower for less

Its newly designed tower, HDMI port, and generous hard-drive capacity aren't enough to make the Asus Essentio CM5671-05 stand out next to the HP Pavilion p6510y, a similarly priced system with a faster quad-core processor and built-in Wi-Fi. The Asus...

No WIFI sucks. Basically 4 home bus., email and doc's

Seems to be functional, just need to get a monitor compatible with it! We like the computer. It lacks wi fi but for small-business functions it is fine.

large storage capacity. works great We don't game or edit videos so no issues with that

We have gone through 2 monitors so far and tried to hook up a 3rd (dinosaur from the basement) but it wont work. Probably a bad monitor anyway. But it seems it must have eaten up the other monitors. One was Gateway lg. screen & one about 20 years old

Hard drive crashed after 1 year and 12 days. Customer service refuses to cover cost even though its 12 days out of warranty. Horrible experience. I will never buy a PC again. This is the second time I've been a couple days out of warranty and computer...

Good PC for routine home use at a good price.

This is my first Asus machine so time will tell how reliable it is. I have had good experience with it so far.

It was easy to set up. It is plenty fast for basic home use. I have had no problems with it in 4 months since purchase. It is very reasonably priced compared with other brands

The on-off switch is unreliable and tricky to operate. The front of the case has a cheap plastic look and feel. The keyboard has some design issues such as a large "caps lock" key that gets in the way

I have had no problems with this system in the two weeks I've owned it. I was up and running within an hour or so of getting home with it.

Great performance at a great price

It was only available at Best Buy, with their usual push to add on stuff such as installation and antivirus software

It just shuts down by itself and then when turned on again, it does not dipslay any icons. I have to reboot it 4-5 times before icons show up. It also loses connection with my router all the time. It does not have any WiFi capability, so you will have...

I was seduced by low price and large memory

This crappy computer was not functioning from the very beginning
