Wonderful!

At $500, this is an excellent computer, it has enough hard drive space that I would need, the RAM makes everything run smoothly along with the dual core processor, and it has an HDMI output to connect to HD TV's, 10 USB ports(4 front 6 back) and SD...

Quick Start up, No bloat ware when i bought it from Bestbuy, and runs 1080p videos smoothly, plus large amounts of hard drive space for everything needed, and enough ram to do what you need to do, 10 USB ports

Hard drive has a rather odd(but not loud) noise when it's running, integrated graphics are not great for gaming

Buyer Beware!!!

I'm really surprised as ASUS is generally a very good company for quality. I don't know if I will be ordering from them ever again at this point. I need to know that what I sell/recommend is going to work, or it seriously hurts our reputation. Shame on...

Great machine when it works

There is something seriously wrong with quality control at the refurbisher. I have ordered 8 of these machines for different clients and so far 6 of them have had issues. So far 3 have been so bad that I have had to return them. One arrived with no...

Update

Just an update. Been running 24/7 and recording HD flawlessly and it is actually faster than my Intel Quad Core at compressing HD Video to MKV

Tried to add 8GB of memory and had to put it in the original slots and remove the factory memory. It would not start if put in the two free slots along with the factory memory

Started easily with no problems. Nice that there is hardly any Bloatware. Burner works great and is very quiet. I use it to record HD TV. Editing and compression to MKV are all accomplished very effortlessly with this processor and just the original...

Update to previous post

None

Just updating my previous review had a chance to hook up the 4th one and its DOA as well as the previous 3. This one had no video. Since the warranty seal was already broken when I took it out of the box I went ahead and diagnosed the issue (I am a...

Now I Own Two

Customer tech help at Asus could have been better during a setup glitch...I ended up completing the repair myself. The tech at Asus tried his very best but just missed the problem...and condemned the computer. I just ordered a second identical computer...

I was apprehensive because of some of the negative reviews...I must say that the computer has been flawless and better then I expected. We are very pleased...thanks Newegg

Doesn't have a CPU activity LED...I like blinky lights. (Not much to complain about eh.)
