Great Value for the Money!

This was a great entry level gaming rig for my daughter even without a dedicated video card. Asus has a good platform in this one and I have been building computers since 1995. I would be hard pressed to beat this price.

Showing its age

Most of these are probably great, but it seems like from my experience and some other reviews that the quality control isn't as rigorous as it could be. Not the best deal for your money.

Runs most games and works fine right out of the box

New games can run under 30 fps even on low settings, sometimes becoming unplayable ; Tried playing Arkham Knight and the computer made a bunch of noise then shut down. Part of that is on rocksteady though ; Biggest issue is that when I tried to install...

OK So far

I own several other pieces of ASUS gear, and have been happy with them. Hopefully, this machine will continue that trend. I deducted one star mainly because of the windows upgrade problem--ASUS could have done a factory install of 8.1 themselves.

It's a good basic windows 8 pc. Haven't had any particular issues once I got 8,1 installed (see cons). The system is quiet--you would almost think it wasn't running. Seems reasonably fast, although it is mainly being used for webmail, surfing and word...

My main concern was that upgrading to win 8.1 was a pretty tortuous process. It was uncomplicated, however there were some extremely long periods where the machine just appeared to sit there with a message on the order of 'System update 100 percent...

M11BB Refurb

I replaced Windows 8 with Windows 7 and the machine runs great. Do a LOT of video capture and it never hiccups. I tried Windows 10 but it's just too glitchy right now.lol...Not good for an every day machine. Windows 8 needs upgraded to 8.1 before you...

Price is great ; Components are nice ; Very quiet and runs cool. A hard combination to get sometimes ; Pretty fast. The SSD I installed later barely had an effect ; I would recommend it to my friends and family

Great machine

I have no idea what Eleanor B. is talking about in her review. She must have a different model because I literally accidentally turned this PC on. It was so easy my hand barely touched the power button.

Fast, really fast. Great speed, great price, and can easily be upgraded for a GPU. Is very quiet, much quieter than I expected. No stupid lights, decals or flames on the sides so it can sit in my living room and not look like Guy Fieri designed it

Needs a blu-ray drive and for some reason my wireless mouse doesnt work on the front usb ports. The ports work but it errors out on wireless mouse. Could be something about drivers, so we'll see

Dead on arrival

This thing was dead on arrival completely and of course getting a hold of anyone to try and get something done is darn near impossible. Not sure i"ll be buying anything else.
