Beautiful Barebone

Great case with awesome airflow. Good price for what you get

The PSU could be better and the mobo could be better but for the price you can't beat it

Barebones - GREAT VALUE!

After Flash teh system is very quick loading and stable. I have several out at clients, all running better than good.

Great start to a stable system. I found it to quite, smooth running and great value

the bios needs to be flashed at first boot. make a CDR with the files for bios flash and boot up press ALT-F2 and flash away - else it will seem to be DOA

Almost DOA

Long story short, by process of elimination, the power supply connector to the motherboard was not making adequate contact. After disconnecting and reconnecting it from the motherboard, the box powered up and ran like a champ. I was dreading having to...

Very fast and easy to assemble. All of the necessary cables were connected to the MB and in the proper place

Did not power up on initial assembly. It appeared to cycle "on" about every second or so

Still working great!

I have now had this product for over 1 year. I wrote a review on 1/19/06 if you want to reference that for additional information. This review is to reinforce that information/rating. This will always be my Windows XP Legacy system. My system is: P4...

Easy installation, nice layout, everything as expected ; I upgraded my processor from a P4 505J 2.66 GHz 533 MHz FSB to a P4 650 3.4GHz proc, 800 MHz FSB. I am OCing at 5% (3.56 GHz), which seems to be the max this MB supports. I didn't know it the MB...

AGP video interface is outdated ; It seems others have had problems with firmware. I didn't because I initially installed a 505 proc, then upgraded firmware, then upgraded proc. Not very strong power supply, although supports my 6800. Not a whole lot...

Nice budget setup.

Very good power supply included. Have owned this for more than a year now...no problems whatsoever!

Well worth the purchase if your on a budget...and looking to upgrade from an old machine

Case is a little cramped space wise inside

Very solid

Very solid barebones at a very nice price. I've had it running mythtv and it's always on, feeding my TV while I use it at the same time as my general use Linux machine and never complains. The case is solid and looks good

None really, except it'd be nice it came easy to open by hand rather than needing a screwriver. But that's pretty trivial

Nice

Poor documentation almost led me to believe I had a bad motherboard. Manual pretty much says this... install processor, install ram, install hardrive. Thats it! It's thick becasue it says that in 27 languages. If you use one memory module, it goes in...

Case looks very nice, and it's not huge! I felt it was also very solid, it didn't feel flimsy. It has a nice assortment of ports on the front. Barebone includes a floppy drive. For internet, email, home office, minor gamming, I think this is a cheap...

Not meant to be a power house machine. Only supports up to an Athlon 3700 processor. Poor documentation. I could not use Windows Media center 2005 on this machine. I had to install XP home addition. This is not a motherboard Asus sells seperately, I...

ASUS Vintage-PE1 Intel P4 up to 3.8 GHz (Prescott) Intel Socket T(LGA775) SiS 661FX SiS Mirage Barebone

Spend your money on something else and get more bang for the buck.

simple cheap system. you must upgrade the BIOS if your going to run any halfway decent proc. give it plenty of memory cause its a slow mobo

Good luck with the bios upgrade.better know what your doing. ASUS made this more complicated than it needed to be but it does work

Works Great

I have this Barebone running with an Intel Celeron D 2.53GHZ 64Bit processor, and it stays very cool (Idle temp averages around 33C) using just the stock heatsink and fan. Drives Installed: 1 Maxtor EIDE HDD 1 Waestern Digital SATA HDD 1 Pacific...

There is no beating this barebone for a budget sytem ; I have not had a single system crash while using this PC for almost two months. For those who keep their PC running all the time it works great for that, as well. I have left this PC running for 7...

In terms of its functionality I have no cons, since it is working great. The only con, and I mean the only con I have to this point is the internal space, but unless you plan to install three or four HDD's it is fine

nice case and board but...

Other than the problems above, which I feel were minor, everything ran exactly as it should once windows booted. I blame the problems on Asus which seem to be getting worse and worse as time goes on.

sleek case ; simple MB

The case and motherboard aren't exactly a perfect fit in that the main power for the MB is in the exact same spot where you would place the hard drive so I had difficulty placing the hard drive and the IDE cable, don't know how I would have placed a...
