Excellent card, flaky software

I was in the market for a TV capture card to record gaming sessions and watch stuff on my DVR. After looking around and reading reviews, I chose this card because it was the most economical choice. I figured if it didn't work, I could get a refund....

Not impressed

I've owned two of these cards now, just to play TV from my cable box using HDMI input, and have decided to move on to another product after the second one broke. In my experience, the cards last about a year before the display gets jittery and no...

Cannot record off cable box

I got this thinking I could make a home DVR, but it wont' record digitally protected signals, like cable and satellite boxes. It does come with a way to do that with analog (like RCA cables or S-video) but it's not as high resolution or quality, and...

I purchased this product initially so I could store programs that I'd recorded on my satellite service's DVR box for later, but hadn't gotten a chance to watch yet. Well, I'm ending my DVR service and didn't want to lose those programs, so I used this...

Not being used for recording

I have a 27" monitor (PC BANK) from South Korea that only has a DVI-D input ($270). Instead of spending an extra $190 to get multiple inputs to the monitor (ie HDMI, component, displayport, etc.) and additional money required for 50 feet cable runs I...

VHS Capture

Works like a charm, plug and play for me without a hitch. I am archiving a lot of old VHS family movies, I had a Honestech VHS to DVD 5.0 Deluxe usb box I got a while ago when on sale in the gold box. It dropped a lot of frames and didn't have that...

Works great

This is the first capture card have ever owned and I am very happy with it. Works with my ps3 with hdmi and my twc cable box using hdmi splitter. It took me some time to get the ps3 working but once I changed its settings to 1080i 720p it work great.
