Dead after 5 yrs

Some may say that is good for over 5 yrs of service but for the product I disagree. MTF is 100,000 hours. I got about half that and never had a routine heavy load. I have other power supplies used harder that are still kicking and are much older.

Modular and quiet ; Heavy - appears well constructed

Died after 5.8 years. Just would not power on. No indications - nothing. Heavy smell of "electrical" - ozone - from the unit. Had another, older, PSU and replaced - all is good (not a coolmax, btw)

To make cabling even cleaner, single tail cables for drives would be nice to include.

The modular system combined with the rounded cables (cables in a round wrap) allow for a very clean installation. I order power supplies to be about half again larger then my requirements and as such this supply is very stable. This seems relatively...

Great PSU for the price, comes with everything you need

Had a little problem with length of the wires, but I improvised

A solid performer

There's a lot of misinformation in many of these reviews. This supply has 3 12V rails. The total combined output is up to 550W on the 12V rails. 150W on the 5V rail. -5V is not provided by modern power supplies, it's obsolete. This power supply is a...

Reasonable cost ; Actually puts out its rated power ; Nice cable management

Noisy ; Seems to emit more heat than it should

Don't buy this power supply

I have had nothing but problems with this power supply. I would suggest saving yourself from the headaches I have had and just purchase a different one.

None so far

When I first bought this power supply a year ago i found that 2 of the wires for one of the hard drive cables were switched so I was getting 5v to the 12v and viceversa. It took me 2 dead hard drives before I figured it out. I bought this thing because...

Not so bad, not so good

Half the people in the world are below average.

I read in the previous review that this unit is no good because his $7 tester says he has no -5v. His tester is correct. Look at the sticker and notice that -5v is not provided. This is a modern supply

The above sticker is so good that it actually states the max wattage at the 12 volt rails (380 watts = about 32 amps). But, since virtually the whole computer runs from the 12v section, the 600 watt rating is just adman hype. E.g., Antec or Seasonic...

PSU COOLMAX|CUG-600B 600W RT - Retail

Upsidedown labeling and information labels on the wrong, (unviewable) side of the PSU.

Good PSU

The sticker placement was on the opposite side on PSU so when put in my case (Kingwin) it does not show - I like that. Love the modular design - less cables more airflow.

Lots of power ; Modular design - love that ; SLI support ; Quiet ; Nice finish - glossy look

Price - althought MIR helps that out ; Must register online at coolmax site before submitting rebate

I'll keep using them

I've used 6 of these with no problems yet. I haven't seen the "heat" issue except in a Pentium EE system where the psu was drawing heat off the processor. All are running good and are very quiet.

Modular design is very good. Easy to route wires and they have good length to them

Large sticker covering up the nice finish
