Solid home or office PC

Lacks TV tuner and audio ports

This entry-level Media Center PC lacks a TV tuner or digital audio ports, but serves well as a home or office PC.

We applaud Dell for including a 15-month subscription to McAfee's Internet Security Suite, especially at this price point. The suite includes antivirus, firewall, antispam, and privacy protection.

Newer EM64T-compatible processor. Twin TV tuners. Quiet operation. Multimedia keyboard

Hard drive is a little small for Media Center with TV/PVR. Single-core processor

This is a good Media Center for entry-level users or those moving beyond basic multimedia tasks.

Dell Dimension E510

avoid this model. if you think you will need tech support, avoid dell. My problems were referred 4 levels up the chaing of "expertise" and I can use the pc as long as I don't update windoes (true - they told me that that creates conflicts).

not many; attractive

slow, programs keep closing, dos warning screens pop up, system crashes; dell tech support just makes things worse. have spent countless hours with them; i'm not a techie but I've been successfully using pc's since they first came out. I could go...

Dell Dimension E510

Value priced, attractive case and periphals, fast, stable and reliable. You can't go wrong with this system.

Excellent value for the money, stable, quiet, and very capable!! Ordered the system with 2 gig of ram, Creative Soundblaster X-Fi soundcard, Dual CD/DVD player and 16x DVD burner, 160 gig hard drive, 3.0 gHz processor, 19" LCD Ultra-sharp monitor and...

I'm not crazy about Windows Media Center Edition but that's all that is available. You're better off using separate graphics DVD and CD burning programs and sound application software than what Microsoft tried to incorporate into the operating system....

The Dell E510 was great while it lasted. ”

I got the Dell E510 because it was relatively cheap and ultimately customizable. Both of these are highly important for most people in a home computer. At the time I needed to stay more on the cheap side, but needed to replace my computer that was...

Dell E510 is a great computer for the price. ”

My dad gave me a Dell e510 desktop to take with me to college. At first, I thought it wasn't that good, but then I realized that it has a 3.0 ghz CPU, and that the graphics card is upgradeable. I also added more ram to the computer, and now it is a...

Ok for just web browsing ”

I do not recommend the Dell Dimension E510 solely because it is a rather weak computer in a performance perspective. It has been reliable and reliability to me has not been an issue. It is just that this is a poorly performing desktop and it has, at...
