Dell Dimension XPS Gen 5

Dual-core processor provides strong multimedia platform; lots of storage; quiet; strong single-player 3D performance at high resolutions.

Flimsy, plastic case design; no SLI support for dual 3D cards; no option for fast, 10,000rpm hard drives; Dell won't overclock; multiplayer 3D gamers can find a better deal.

It may not be the flashiest system out there, but the Dell Dimension XPS Gen 5 will appeal to serious multimedia buffs and certain hard-core gamers.

Dell Dimension XPS Gen 5

The 20-inch UltraSharp 2005FPW LCD is a beautiful monitor, displaying the Web, games, spreadsheets, TV, and DVDs equally well.

Too many to list, but here are a coupledual-core processor and dual TV tuners

Case is difficult to work on when upright. Neither TV tuner is HD

If you are ready for high-end computing and don't mind the big-ticket price, the Dell XPS Gen 5 should absolutely be at the top of your list.
