Reply "Good Luck"

Good, I install to windows 7 after update the BIOS from A00 to A04 that can be downloaded from Dell.com

The technical support is bad. They knew nothing

Adequate for desktop non-gaming usage

Wiiped the hard drive and installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux (for work), which works fine as long you play with BIOS/UEFI settings.

Inexpensive ; Quiet ; Seems well constructed ; Fine for email, web browsing and watching videos and movies ; On board wireless, usually an extra on desktop units

Limited upgrade options, look elsewhere for that ; You're basically looking at laptop components in ; a small desktop form factor. Makes sense for the ; manufacturer but leaves little room for upgrading

DELL i3646-1000BLK

Don't listen to the negative nanny. Installed Windows 7 with no problems. Had a little time of finding Win 7 driver for wireless card. For the price you can't beat it.

Small quiet fast

Decent point of sale system

it's got a speedy chip, 4 gigs, and Win8 for just over $300 Its a no-brainer for a simple work pc

Bought 6 of these to replace point of sale computers that were running XP ; Packed well ; Smallish footprint to be able to tuck under counter or what have you ; Pre loaded with Win 8.1 ; Optical mouse and keyboard are of midrange quality ; first boot...

Macaffe is preinstalled, along with some other borderline bloatware, didn't really take to long to remove it all
