Dell Inspiron One 2305

Dell's higher-end Inspiron One 2305 has everything we'd look for in a home entertainment PC. It's not the fastest computer out there, but it's capable where it counts, and even plays some games. Forgive Dell's intrusive bundled backup software and...

Superior design; Blu-ray and HDMI input make it a complete digital media hub; discrete graphics card lends gaming capability

Not as fast as other all-in-ones in its price range; maddening Dell DataSafe pop-ups

Dell Inspiron One 2305 (Blu-ray)

On the side of the Inspiron One (Blu-ray) are a few easy-access ports and buttons, including volume and brightness controls, 2 USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot, Blu-ray player, and audio-in and -out. In the back are 4 more USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA,...

Sleek design. 1080p HD video. Multitouch screen. Blu-ray player. No bloatware. Attractive design. Wireless keyboard and mouse

No applications to make the touchscreen functionality worthwhile

The Dell Inspiron One 2305 (Blu-ray) is a solid all-in-one media desktop PC, but it lacks the applications to make it a worthwhile touch-screen computer.

Dell Inspiron One 2305 (IO2305-3114MSL)

The bright 23-inch screen has a 1,920 by 1,080 resolution, so it can display full 1080p HD content. 1080p movie trailers from YouTube played smoothly and loaded quickly over the 802.11n network we have in PC Labs. Unfortunately, the IO2305 doesn't...

Touchscreen. Full 1080p HD screen. 750GB hard drive. Wireless keyboard and mouse. No bloatware. Sub $900 price

Slower than rivals. Dell Stage interface is playing catchup with HP TouchSmart interface. No Blu-ray and no TV tuner, so it's limited to online HD content

While the Dell Inspiron One 2305 (IO2305-3114MSL) is one of the least expensive all-in-one touchscreen desktop PCs with a true 1080p HD display, the rest of the system is not equipped to keep up with the rest of the pack.

Thank you reviewers!

I really wanted to buy this Dell as my first ever All-In-One but because the majority of reviews for this product are so poor, both here and on Dell's site, I will not get it. I don't know why CNET gave it such a high rating...maybe it is only for the...

Would have loved that screen

But it seems to turn blue pretty soon

Great Experience So Far

I haven't had much experience with tech support so I can't comment on that but that also means I haven't had too. I am not sure if some of these problems come with the different price models. I went one below the most expensive and have had no problems...

I have owned my 2305 for about 7 months. I have had no issues with the system itself. The screen is large and has crisp color. The model looks better than most alternatives. I don't have any issues with speed but I am not pushing it to the max either. Tou

Had an issue with disk check. Something about Windows 7 and infrared parts, but thanks to the power of Google and Microsoft hotfix I was able to get it corrected with relative ease. The fast access can be a bit slow and is very light sensitive (not too br

Love this new Inspiron

I waited and waited before up grading to something new to add to the home. I was a fan of Windows XP til support no longer existed. then on to Vista. Now learning this Windows7 hasnt been a problem. learning where everything is and loving the speed. I...

Large Screen. Love the Touch features even though I dont use them as much

this is an upgrade from the Inspiron one which only lasted 2-3 weeks. after 2 tech visits, this Inspiron one 2305 came in the mail. almost a week and I'm still not completely satisfied. No software issues to report. my only snag is the DVD drive has vanis

Everything you all said is true squared! Garbage!! RUN!

Run away from this design with great haste. If you must buy one, give it to your worst enemy!!! They will tear their eyes out from the blue screens. Gosh I feel better! Oh I'm back to building them.

The good news is that this is to be considered the intro to the bad news. I taught this in a tech school and thought I would try this thing for the interface. If one of my students had designed or built it they would be working in a fast food drivein! Up

Six months, 2 machines, 3 hdds and a mobo later, plus some "magic software" (tech support quote) and it is still garbage! I would like to thank all the wonderful people in India for hours of conversation...Oh and if you get a chance to by a 23 inch screen

Waste of time, money, patience

Tech support is awful. The techs are extremely difficult to understand, and some of them get downright rude when they're frustrated. I probably spent several hundred hours with tech support(many sessions ran 4 - 6 hours while each different tech...

Looks beautiful, nice crisp color, very fast

This is my second one. I bought the first one in May 2010, after many blue screens of death and finally nothing, during which I spent TWO months with tech support, Dell replaced the hard drive. That lasted exactly a day and the same thing began again. Aft

Another very good system from Dell

I have bought the i5 model with 8GB RAM and BDR drive and Win 7 (64 bit Japanese edition). I use 802.11n via the Apple Time Capsule. My comparison for this is my wife's i7 based iMac Although PC performance is becoming more and more subjective, based...

1. Sexy system - I think it looks fabulous ; 2. Extremely responsive and very good speeds in terms of CPU, RAM & WiFi performance ; 3. Excellent UI - the touch screen is icing on the cake ; 4. All component updates available from a central location...

1. Out of the box, suggest you update drivers asap - not really a con ; 2. Recommend going with Bose Speakers if you want this to be a multimedia station. Again, hardly a con

Worst Product I ever seen

I bought this product 3 months ago and I seen problem every 15 days. The Dell Technical service looks more worst and they want you to use their paid service. Before buying this product read review several times. I strongly recommend not to buy this old...
