With the T5246, eMachines (finally) adds a second gigabyte of RAM, giving it the chops to be a good light-duty bargain desktop.
Under $500 for the "top-of-the-line" eMachine system. 2GB of system memory. 400GB hard drive.
Still a lot of bloatware. Dated integrated graphics. Free Norton Internet Security subscription drops to 60 days. A ball mousein 2008?
The eMachines T5246 is another decent budget choice made better, but some of the components are starting to look dated.

The bottem line summary on the E-Machine T524...
Price fit my budget and computer fit my needs. Dual core processer. On board intagraded graphics via GeForce 6150+ not great but on board non the less. 15-1 media CARD reader that needed some work inorder to function fully. 400 gig HD 2 GIG ram ect..
Has PCI-E slot but power supply will not power any graphics card that was much grater than the onboad Graphics. 350w PS W/O a 6 pin connecter. Not much else to complain about for the price i could not expect more.
