eMachines ET1850 review

At £300, eMachine's ET1850 is definitely a budget system. EMachines is the low-cost sister brand to the more well-known Acer, but we've been often been pleased to find that there's little to choose between them in terms of build quality.

It may be basic, but this cheap PC is excellent value for basic tasks and it's very well made, too

I had this machine set up and running in minutes. With the new Acer 'Value' screen thay I also bought, it makes a great-functioning and good looking setup. It is fast and has plenty of RAM and HD space for my applications. The system is easy to...

On the side of the CPU case is a label that says 'Burn DVDs and CDs' but the case only contains a DVD ROM drive. The latter is also specified on the side on the case, so the manufacturer is self-contradictory on this score.
