Runs VMware ESXi 5.1

A very cool little machine to run VMware for your router or firewall at home. Low power and MUCH better than the Intel ATOM CPU's for VMware

The NIC driver is not recognised if you install ESXi 5.5, you have to install 5.1 and I have been told upgrade to 5.5. USB pass thru does not work, wish it did as I would need some devices to USB pass thru a NIC for firewalling and USB drives for...

died after 5 months

Price

Died after 5 months. Bought it to run XBMC, we didn't use it 24*7 because of the noise, now I couldn't boot it up, probably the power supply is broken

It works!

I bought this because the FoxConn RM1-H2 I bought before had problems with USB ports and I had to return it. R30-H1 is based on H67 chipset vs the H61 on RM1-H2. Feature wise, it has two SATA 3 ports while H61 (RM1-H2, RM2-H2, or RM3-H2) only has SATA...

It works reliably

Difficult to install memory chips. Cables are bundled together and put into the space under 5.25" bay and the power cable to motherboard seems just long enough to reach the power connector

Mediocre

I bought this for a skype box, and it worked well until the hard drive died, not sure what caused it to die, and have replaced it with a new 1TB drive. However some issues during windows instal have caused me to question the system as a whole, and I am...

Small, prebuilt, cheap

USB booting is questionable. I have tried multiple sticks and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't ; Random BSOD even during windows install ; 70C + temps during normal use despite two fans ; System fan should have a plastic cover pulling air...

Excellent mini-pc

With openelec for fusion you may have problems with the audio, set the device to plughw0,3 and it will work flawlessly. If not, change the 3 for a number from 1 to 9.

Works out of the box with XBMCbuntu, with openelec-fusion I had problems setting the audio through HDMI, but just a minor issue

Chassis is a little filmsy, but if you know what you are doing you should no worry. Installing HDD can be a problem, I had to force my 3.5" HDD into the chassis, but it fitted perfect

Foxconn R30-A1

Runs Win7 Ultimate just fine, driving my 1080p TV using Win7 Media Center. Amazing design to pack this much power into so little space. Reviewer who wrote that it doesn't handle 1080p is dead wrong. LOSE Catalyst. It does nothing for you, but WILL kill...

Great price. (I bought when it was selling on a special, but current price is still a bargain) ; Perfect size for htpc

Power supply fan runs at full speed 100% of the time, making it too noisy as an htpc for my taste. Just ordered a Seasonic replacement psu from NewEgg ; One of the supplied SATA cables is too short to reach any SATA device. Luckily I had spare 1-foot...

Amazing value

The main reason that I'm writing this review is to warn people that the mechanical clearance above the DIMM slots is relatively small. If your DIMMs have oversized heat-spreaders that extend above the PCB part of the DIMM (like Ripjaws do) then you...

This little device is the most powerful small-form-factor machine I've even owned (and I own about 10 mini-ITX systems) and the price is stunningly low compared to comparable options. The AMD APU runs Windows 7 with no problems and can even run some...

The case is larger and heavier than some of the ultra small mini-ITX based systems I have. This is an unavoidable tradeoff for lower cost I guess
