Gateway 610XL

Looks great ; extremely powerful ; and simple to use

Integrated WiFi card may be buggy on some wireless networks ; but is fixed through a driver update

We love the fact that the 610XL simply works as designed and looks great while doing so.

Lots of Style, Less Substance

Gateway's Media Center PC looks impressive but doesn't quite live up to its promise.

Gateway 610XL

The Gateway 610XL Media Center PC is just about the best desktop PC/media player you could buy for a space-constrained environment such as an apartment or condo—especially if style matters. Clad in matte silver with black accents, it's attractive,...

HardwareCentral - Gateway 610XL Media Center Review.

And the Gateway's other performance benchmarks are even more solid, as you'd expect from its Pentium 4/3.0C (800MHz bus, Hyper-Threading) CPU. FutureMark's PCMark04 yielded an overall rating of 4,080 -- CPU 4,350, memory 3,978, hard disk 3,891, and...

Gateway 610XL

I purchased my unit when they first came out and got an extended warranty. When the warranty ran out so did my power supply. Without others in the same boat it would still be collecting dust. Gateway support doesn't. All they want is for you to send it...

Gateway 610XL

This system is bad enough for me to never purchase a Gateway again. Consumers don't buy a computer only to be charged to fix a problem that everyone that buys this model will eventually face if they haven't already. This model is a lemon and is no...

Gateway 610XL

The blinking is making me go nuts. Is there anyone who has been successful in correcting the problem? Other than the blinking, which has made it impossible to use the machine, I like it and would like to keep it but not with the blinking.

Gateway 610XL

I bought this re-manufactured 610xl 3 years ago. Last year the hard drive failed, (probably due to weak power supply) $200 to have Gateway fix it. Yesterday, the power supply crashed completely. Although not a perfect unit, its size and capabilities...

The stylish new Gateway 610XL Media Center is a complete digital home entertainment system and computer housed in an ultra sleek body. It's an all-in-one PC, TV, DVD, PVR, MP3 player, FM tuner, and stereo system requiring only two cables for a simple connection and amazing performance. The 610XL Media Center features Microsoft XP Media Center OS 2004 and an Intel Pentium 4 processor with hyper-threading and wireless technology. Pause and rewind live TV and record shows with the Personal Video Recorder (PVR-just like TiVo). Plus, you can listen to your favorite tunes, watch movies, view photo albums and slide shows, listen to FM radio stations, or play games. And you can do it all from one location, and with the convenience of a single remote control. The 17" wide-screen LCD gives a high-resolution, exceptional brightness and contrast and a room-rattling sound system with a built-in subwoofer. Now, that's what they call a dramatic production! The Gateway 610XL Media Center is visually impressive with its streamlined design and limited wires. Its easy-grasp handle makes it portable enough to fit into the smallest of spaces so you can take your media with you-room to room.
