Cheap VM host

I'm using this as a VirtualBox host hosting several of my development servers. I upgraded to 16 GB RAM and may at some point move to a faster drive. It's been running fine for several months except for initial problem with wifi and Ubuntu.

Low price, 6 cores, 1.5 TB drive

Wifi spotty under Ubuntu 12.04, but this is a knows issue with driver

Gateway DX4350-UR21P

Can't say that their are any as it didn't work

Just received this Gateway, arrived DOA, no video. Contacting Newegg now about an RMA, I should have read the reviews first and I would have gotten something else or just built one myself. This appears to be a common problem with this gateway PC

First = DOA. Second = Beast

I upgraded the memory to 16GB (i mean, it's only $80 or less these days) and stuck a video card that could support two monitors (my monitors don't do HDMI). This thing is rocking.

Once I got my replacement, this machine is a workhorse. 6 core for $559 is nice

First came DOA. Seems to be common sadly. Newegg took care of it quickly though and got the replacement within about a week or so

Love it

Quiet and fast, while not a gamer, this had handled everything I could throw at it and it kept asking for more! I like it so much in a few weeks I'm going to surprise the wife with one

Crummy keyboard, as expected. Weird amount of memory, but so far it's doing the job

I love mine!

I have enjoyed my new Gateway computer. Going from a single core processor and 1 GB of ram to 6 cores and 6 GB of ram is a dream come true. Things that took several minutes are now completed in seconds. The only issue I had was transferring data from...

I purchaced one a couple of weeks before Christmas for $398. A little money for a lot of computing power. Setting the computer up was very easy. All of the components seem to be working properly. I have had no problems booting into Windows. The six...

Neither of these are really Cons. For what I paid for the computer I can't complain, but you can always want more. A 500 watt power supply would be nice. This would give you a better selection of graphics cards to choose from if you decide to upgrade...

Great Buy

I upgraded from an old Dell XPS (4200?) that was 8 yrs old - Intel Pentium dual core @ 2 GHz, 2 GB DDR 333 RAM, 80 GB HDD, 6 USB 1.0 ports, running Windows XP Pro. Going from that tired system with a full HDD to this machine is amazing. Have a work...

Fast, fast, fast right out of the box ; Norton antivirus 60 day trial ; Plethora of USB 2.0 ports ; Additional front ports for SD cards, etc ; Comes with everything you need less the monitor and speakers

Not sure the accessory lighting is functional, other than to signal if the computer is off/asleep or not ; The DVD eject button on the side of the tower is a little odd....weak cons at best

Good buy, forget the haters...

It does what I need and more, bought it as a birthday present to myself. Showed up at my door step in a couple days, haven't crapped out on me yet (no DOA). For you protools people out there, looking for a cheap protools rig... Here you go. Get this...

Powerful as hell ; Love the cosmetics, the lights are a bit sexy (if you will) ; Im a audio engineer, and hip hop producer who needed a PC for my PC apps that I couldn't be without (Fruity Loops). I also needed a sidekick to my Mac. Runs Protools...

NO FIREWIRE ; DARN IT ; Like others have reviewed, lots of bloat ware, but Windows 7 makes that easy to deal with (erase/uninstall)

bad luck

I am one of the unlucky with this one. The PC I received failed to boot. Not a big problem as its less then a day only; The problem comes in when we start to talk about Gateways "Custom support". they will not set up a pick up, they will not send a...

Nice looking case

will not boot

Great for Video Editing and Graphic Design!!

I am not a gamer, just a filmer and graphic designer, so I dont know how well this will do with games. Also, on a lesser note, the keyboard that's included is very nice.

Processor is epic, RAM is great, and a large hard drive! It blows through Photoshop, After Effects, Sony Vegas, and every other Adobe application. If you edit lots of video (and I mean advanced "hardcore" editing) this is the computer for you! -- There...

The Hard Drive is a bit slow, but it did not effect my work flow. It was just a bit annoying transferring files from my old computer to this one. But honestly, hard drives are cheap and very easy to replace. -- The built in wi-fi was ehh, not the best,...
