Just what I needed.

I've always been a fan of Gateway. I bought this computer to replace my old one that just kicked the bucket. It was a gateway as well, and I bought it in 2002! I don't know many people that have 7 year old unaltered PCs, so it's no surprise that I came...

Good fast processor, plenty of RAM, and a nice big hard drive. It runs quiet, the case looks nice, and, although it may be a minor mention, the keyboard is very nice for a standard item. Totally got my money's worth

The speakers don't have a headphone jack, so you have to plug into the tower, and it was a delicate process getting my old internal hard drive into the bay (not much room in there)

A very nice, quiet, and fast machine at a great price...

Gateway/Acer have done a nice job in putting together a very solid machine for the money. It is well suited to the home user who demands good performance but would like it at a bargain price. I used to build machines for people and can't imagine that I...

Features for the price. It ran very well out of the box and has not disappointed. This is my first experience in owning a Vista machine and, from all of the distaste people have voiced about it - well, everywhere - I was expecting some headaches. None...

Minor annoyance in HAVING to burn backup DVD's (vs. recovery installable OS on hidden HDD partition or DVD's themselves). "Big Fix" software seems like a bit of a waste so far in terms of finding updates/fixes,etc

Terrible Customer Service

After one week, the PC stopped recognizing the keyboard - any keyboard. I spoke to 3 different tech reps to try to fix it and they each told me something different. I had to ship it back to Gateway (actually ACER) at my expense under warranty and they...

It worked the first week I owned it

It hasn't worked since

Great system

System comes with Vista 64, which may not be your personal preference, but it really isn't to bad. This system replaced my old pentium 3.0 with HT that ran XP. Its been a great replacement system.

Great value for what you get

None so far

One computer worked great one had a Hard Drive error within 3 days

I love it..I bought 2 for my kids...One works great but the other one within 3 days...HARD DRIVE FAILED..wow what a pain in the....but the one that works works GREAT

If it fails return to Gateway right away

Good Overall Value

This system can handle its own. Very good computer for surfing and handling typical consumer media.

GREAT price for the set up

None as of now

Outstanding Value

You get 2 banks of DDR2 RAM; Vista x64 gives you full access; turning off Aero gives you lots of room. (Unless you add a graphics card, you probably should turn off Aero.) If you want more than 4 GB, then you'll have to shell out for more expensive,...

Finally gave in and bought my 2nd desktop Gateway. My first, now 6 years old, is a Pentium 4 that still runs reliably after two BIOS updates, new optical drive, larger hard drive, and other miscellaneous changes

Okay, now the cons. If you want IDE, you have only 2 power connectors, so plan accordingly

Okay, now the cons. If you want IDE, you have only 2 power connectors, so plan accordingly ; No software on disk. Must create Recovery Disks to capture the software. Hard drive has 9.77 GB EISA partition. Drive comes with crapware (Office 2007 trial,...

Suits my needs

Totally suits my needs for basic home computing.

Very nice computer for the price. Large HD. 2MB L2 cache on a dual-core (5200)

Plastic case. It's okay, but metal would be nicer

power supply lacks if your looking for expansion however you can easily put another one in I put in a 430 watt power suppy and my 7300GS runs great on this system. Dos have limitations being only able to put in 4gigs but they run great for me
