Massive piece of you know what

Rue the day I bought this! The win 8 is especially horrible to deal with.

i5 cpu, right? wrong

this can't be upgraded easily for gaming. I got a thermaltake 600w psu into it, but it won't detect an msi radeon 7850 gpu because the acer dx4860 mobo is incompatible (per Gateway customer service and endless frustrating hours testing why it can't...

very easy to use windows 8 is great

Excellent computer

Absolutely can't beat the price. Extremely quiet and fast, plus room to upgrade. I'm a pretty big gamer so going into this purchase I knew I would upgrade the graphics card. I purchased a Radeon HD 5450 video card and to my disappointment had some...

It works at least

Runs very quickly as do to the 8gbs of ram and the quad core processor. Very nice for lower gaming and other such uses

However, it is difficult to upgrade the video card because the 300w power supply does not have a PSI 3.0 cable, and the 12 pin motherboard connector instead of the common 24 or 20 pin doesn't allow a new, higher wattage psu

fast, not top quality

we used this for a new autocad station. had to downgrade the software operating system to XP Pro due to software limitations. Wiped the drive and installed clean XP. The computer blows through autocad effortlessly, loads files quickly and the onboard...

fast chip, fast onboard video, works well, inexpensive for this level of performance (under $450), nice touch with lighting, and ability to turn it off

expansion capabilities, windows 8, longevity to be determined

Questions answered & More

Sounds like an excellent deal for an "everyday" desktop, but getting a complete technical description has been like pulling teeth. The technology of the MB may be little outdated as evidenced by the multiple USB 2.0 connectors and only 2 USB 3.0...

This may be the inexpensive quad core i5 I have been waiting for but the device description is limited. Too much info about how pretty the case is, and no information about expansion slots, audio capabilities, and ability of 300 w PS to handle...

Thank you for the expansion slot information. I, like others I'm sure, was looking specifically for that, but the description was incomplete. Are all 4 slots open, or is there a USB 3.0 card taking up one of them? Are they aligned so that a video card...

Look for a better product

Buy a better computer from a different manufacturer.

Bought two of these. One works ok the other would not boot. Newegg had no stock so I send it in for repair. Repair instructions stress the packing for the computer. Had to pay for shipping and the computer had not workied. Received the computer back...

I don't know what all the fuss about Windows 8 is about. I was dreading making the transition to the new OS, but I am finding it much easier to navigate than I had expected.

Day 2 with this machine, and I am impressed. Runs stable with graphically intensive processes (i.e. videoconferencing from home) and easy setup. I had this system up and running and ready to go in an hour (including driver downloads). This box didn't...

I will swap out the power supply to at least 550 down the line so I can add a video card and additional RAM. But otherwise, I expect this will suit my needs just fine

Newegg didn't get the RMA timely and when I called them back, they said the return was denied. I told them it better not be denied as the only thing I had done was to open the box and plug it in. It just didn't operate. Newegg then told me that their...

Nice features. Disappointed with power supply size, but thought it would be OK for office applications

Would not power up. Hit power switch repeatedly, and will not power up at all. Changed power cords and same result. Appears to be a bad power supply. Had to RMA to Newegg

Wicked little computer

OK so a couple of things to know. If you are going to make the default restore disks you will need at least a 16 GB USB flash drive. The Factory default restore will only image itself to a USB Flash drive. I worked with Support and it would not go on a...

This is a cool lillte computer. This Core i3 has dual core and 2 Hyperthreads. Tons of USB ports all over the computer. The power suppy is a regular sized ATX and can be easily upgraded. It come with a wifi card which I am pretty sure also has the...

The slots on the back are the break away type so once you remove them you need to find a way block the hole if you remove the card that was in it. It only comes with 1 screw that is holding in the WiFi card so you will need your own if you are adding...
