Slim junk

Its good that this PC is no longer sold. Don't buy a PC like this, even a newer one.

It doesn't take up much space.

It doesn't take up much space because there's nothing TO IT. BAD PC.

Waste of time and energy

Also in my initial order, I purchased a speaker set that was DOA. That had to be replaced, too... Unfortunately, I have to recommend avoiding shopping at Newegg. I have ordered from them in the past (years ago) and had good experiences, so I expected...

Takes up minimal space

Based on these marvelous customer reviews, I ordered this item at the end of April. When it arrived, the DVD drive would not open, except via the control panel. I returned it to Newegg for a replacement. The replacement model arrived a month after I...

Excellent, multifunction PC

Highly recommended as a gift, for general computing, HTPC, or office workstation (albeit with high graphics performance compared with CPU for a traditional workstation). Certainly good for tinkering, but the small form factor and space for only one...

* Fantastic value and very good versatility--excellent specifications for the price. * 1TB HDD (compare with similarly priced machines) * Small form factor is easy to fit into small rooms, desks, entertainment centers, etc. * Quiet and inoffensive *...

* I had to RMA the first unit that I received. (Newegg support was fantastic, incidentally). Because the comments are overwhelmingly positive, and because the second system is working flawlessly, I think it's fair to say that this was an outlier and I...

Great bang for the buck

This is the second one I've purchased for our office. I added two more sticks of 2GB RAM (now 8GB total) and the system runs very fast.

Fast CPU and mobo, large hard drive, 4 RAM slots, 64-bit OS, small footprint

Small con... I love the small profile, but there's no room to fit a second hard drive in there

It just got better!

Everything. I'm just "updating" my previous review with new data ; I dropped in (well, installed!) a 120GB Mushkin Chronos Enhanced SSD that I got here for $125, loaded the Gateway recovery from 3 dvd discs I previously burned, and.....WOW ; In about...

Nothing. I also "FOUND" my multi-channel sound by plugging an optical cable from my Sony Bravia 46" to my AVR, and the Sony passes the audio direct from the HDMI. Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS, you name it, it's there! Gee, that was easy

Awesome so far...!

I'm pairing this with a Cineraid box that came at the same time from the Newegg promo w/ WD 2TB EARS drive, and got a EARX 2TB as well. That setup is working great. I have two other 2TB drives coming for an 8TB Raid 5. I know this is a great overall...

Price, Value, Small Footprint, Speed, Graphics, USB3.0. I wanted to upgrade my HTPC from a re-purposed AMD Athlon 64x2 5200+ and spent a fair bit of time on researching and deciding what I want (balanced against what I need!) and decided to throw my...

No Digital Audio out. That's really the only thing I can see. I've got a cheap 7.1 sound card coning with optical out to connect to my AVR for multi-channel sound. It's not a a big con, but it's something that keeps it from being perfect. Add optical...

A great buy

over all i give it a 5: its pros are: *mildly quiet (if left on for hours makes small noises) *strong choice for a person getting a new computer but not wanting to have to upgrade, or just first buy *1 tb HDD and 4 gb of memory good enough

over all no problems or cons but 1: * regretting not buying it

love it

Great running - low profile, it's 1/4 the size of the dinosaur we replaced with this... will be upgrading the RAM to max asap, 4g is a bit on the slow side...

the keyboard leaves a lot to be desired -- the "g" key doesn't like to make contact most of the time - in fact, the keystrokes need to be heavier in general, I feel like I'm going to punch right thru it sometimes...
