Cheap Computer

Great computer but limited adaptability.

This computer suits the needs of the average computer user that is doing web browsing, word processing, etc

This computer would pick up the fact that I had 8GB of RAM installed but would only allow 3.75GB in Windows. I used the recovery disc to try 7 and 8.1 and I installed my own Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and none made a difference. I also tried to update the...

Good basic business machine

If you are looking for a good business-class machine with Windows 7 64bit, here it is!

The price! Also, came with Windows 7 installed and optional upgrade to Windows 8.1. That was an unexpected bonus as my customer cannot go to Win 8.1 yet because of software requirements they run. Everything pretty much ran as expected

The only con I found is that it only has 4GB RAM which is clearly stated in description. If you get this pay the extra few bucks to get another 4Gigs

Quiet little pseudo-server

Needed a small-ish, quiet desktop to act as a network server. Added a 2-port GB eithernet card, and put a Linux variant on it. Installed without issue and with all hardware working. Got it on a Shell Shocker deal - can't beat the price plus warranty....

Three year, on-site warranty ; Very quiet (not HTPC silent, but fine for a quiet office / bedroom) ; Decent keyboard included (it's to be a server, but it's nice to have a good spare keyboard around anyway. Kinda mushy keys, but typing was fine) ;...

Not a powerhouse - it's for a business user doing office tasks, not gaming or video editing ; No HDMI out (but I knew that, and didn't need one) ; Cheap-feeling wired mouse (it's a server, so I could care less) ; Shared RAM for video (512M dedicated,...

Impressively slow

Price point is attractive, and comes with Pro operating systems, which make it a very attractive low cost addition to a domain environment

The computer has thus far been impressively slow. I'm not sure I can recall ever taking a brand new computer out of the box and having it be this slow, freezy, and laggy before even installing anything ; I am currently uninstalling whatever bloatware I...

HP ProDesk 405 G1 (E3U26UT#ABA) Desktop PC

No fault with Newegg, but the Antonline who sold the computer refuses a full refund. It is one of those you say and he says, but in the end, YOU pay! I would not recommend this company!!

None

The computer is extremely slow, possibly a defect. Upon return of the product, 15% of restocking fee is charged. Stay away from this computer

Great No Frills PSU

I upgraded the RAM to 8gb and threw in a dedicated GPU and now it really blows any other computer I own out of the water.

This is exactly what you expect from a business desktop at this price point ; Relatively fast ; Extremely light ; Reliable ; Easy to expand (it only has two SATA ports, though) ; Great warranty / service

It ships with Windows 7 32-bit. While it comes with a disc to install the 64-bit version (or Windows 8.1), it's a little annoying to have to do that. Additionally, the driver disc it comes with is mysterious. It seems to lack drivers for the SM-Bus...
