Compaq Presario SR5350F Value Desktop PC

Inexpensive PC with big hard drive succeeds at standard multimedia tasks, but its graphics are too weak for serious gamers.

Very inexpensive ; Large (360GB) hard drive

Poor integrated graphics ; Bundled mouse is ball-style, not optical

All in all, Compaq's Presario SR5350F is a good-performing system with plenty of storage space, but you may want to add a discrete graphics card after you get it home

Compaq Presario SR5350F

The low-cost Compaq Presario SR5350F is an enticing Vista Home Premium system that's well-suited for running standard applications and for managing a large digital library of video, music, and photos. Like the eMachines T5246, the SR5350F is a prebuilt...

HP Compaq Presario SR5050NX review: HP Compaq Presario SR5050NX

HP Compaq Presario SR5050NX

Attractive new chassis design and keyboard; LightScribe DVD burner uncommon at this price; robust support.

Outdated CPU; no built-in Wi-Fi.

HP's new Compaq Presario SR5050NX squeaks by its direct eMachines competition, but both of those systems fall behind to HP's own SlimLine desktops in terms of features and performance. If you're looking for a basic desktop with expandability, though,...

Compaq Presario SR5130NX

The Compaq Presario SR5130NX ($480 direct) is a middle-of-the-road offering from Compaq, backed by the HP behemoth. Since HP held on to the Compaq name (and brand) after the 2002 merger, Compaq has moved "down market" to become the company's value...

Larger hard drive than that of some rivals. Nice unified design ID (with monitor, keyboard and mouse)

Slower than rivals in the same price range. Some bloatware. Only two DIMM slots. Only 60 days of Norton Internet Security subscription

The Compaq Presario SR5130NX neither excels nor offends. It's an okay choice for a middle-of-the-road PC in the $500 range.

HP Compaq Presario SR5040AN_01

Built with some useful features and connectivity options, the stylish HP Compaq Presario SR5040AN Desktop PC is a good machine for people with basic c...

Pocket Media Drive bay, 15-in-1 media card reader, LightScribe DVD re-writer

Performance, Windows Vista Basic only

The HP Compaq Presario SR5040AN may not be the most powerful machine around, but it comes with some useful features and plenty of upgrade potential.

Compaq Presario SR5085

A solid family desktop system best suited to e-mail, Internet browsing, school projects and the odd game when the kids are in bed, it's home computing on a modest budget.

Overall We'll hold back on passing judgement on the system until we can have a play with one in the flesh. If you find yourself looking at machines in this price bracket, for your hard-earned two large, you're better off spending the extra hundred...

Easy Replacement

This has a very basic Bios so it's not anything you can Overclock or game with. But you save money by not wasting a bunch of time on it. Very usefull item.

This was an easy replacement for a relative. I put XP on it but be warned, HP's website doesn't support XP for this setup, only Vista. But Intel's site has an INF file that will fix you up. Just search for the 945 chipset

Sloppy build

This computer works fine, and it does everything it is supposed to, but I really don't trust the refurbish on this product. It is sloppy. The vga is missing a screw, the usb ports are misaligned and hard to insert. The body has dents and scratches,...

Great system for the price...

Arrived ppromptly, set up and configuration was quick and easy. Fast and easy to use

I think that for my purposes I'll need a little bit more RAM. I'll most likely upgrade to 4GB

thumbs up

Purchased this machine for my mother to replace a long outdated laptop. The specs fit her needs perfectly since all she does is take pictures and email. It took all of 15minutes to clean off the bloatware(again less than normal), put on a good...

The usual Newegg shipping efficiency and speed are always a pro. The system came as advertised with everything intact and packaged well. Some others have mentioned the bloatware that comes with the machine but compared to systems i have seen it is...

Trackball mouse and no speakers but for the price and the specs provided, it is more than acceptable
