HP Compaq Presario SR5610f

The low cost Presario SR5610f is in Compaq's budget "SR" line of prebuilt PCs. The no frills chassis echoes our excitement about the internal components; the system features a 2.5GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800 CPU, 3GB of RAM, an integrated Nvidia graphics...

Inexpensive; Ethernet LAN included; aggressive CPU; impressive warranty program.

Lacks media card reader; no available SATA or memory slots; the competition offers a better bargain.

The HP Compaq Presario SR5610f stirs together a mix of mediocre parts in a cookie-cutter chassis, brewing up an altogether yawn-worthy computer. The price tag falls in line with other budget systems that feature similar components, but we recommend...

HP Compaq Presario SR5610F

The SR5610F is capable of handling basic daily computing tasks, but at this low price point, where bang-for-the-buck is king and competition is fierce, HP doesn't give you quite enough.

Spacious hard drive. Solid expansion options. Windows Vista Home Premium gives the system Media Center functionality.

Too much bloatware ; no card reader ; ball mouse

HP Compaq Presario SR5610F

Today's desktop prices have come way down and if you're in the market for a new PC that won't cost you a whole lot (sub $500), then you'll want to take a look at the HP Compaq Presario SR5610F. If you don't need a powerhouse computer and just want to...

Inexpensive price ; Suitable CPU and RAM memory ; Dual-layer DVD drive ; Windows Vista Home Premium w/ Media Center

Lots of bloatware pre-installed ; No built-in card reader ; addthis_url = location.href; addthis_title = document.title; addthis_pub = 'angmi90 ; Today's desktop prices have come way down and if you're in the market for a new PC that...

Overall, the performance of the HP Compaq Presario SR5610F is quite comparable to similar systems and would definitely consider this computer as a second-computer in the home, or for a college student or grandparents. It's a great system if you don't...

"Great deal for the dollar, multi tasks fine, easy setup"

Sorry to the reviewer...you deal with too many computers for a living. I got a beautiful factory refurb on this for $325. Duo core processor, 3gb ram, and pretty good sized hard drive...what more can you ask for? The lightscribe, although not as dark...

The easiest and quickest setup imaginable.

Cannot do much expansion.
