HP DC7900

I bought this to replace an ancient P4 2.6gzh that I was using in the bedroom to stream netflix. This system is more than up to the task of basic streaming and video playback. I reformatted and installed win 7 x64 just incase I ever wanted to add more...

For a little bit more than the price of a windows 7 key you get a complete system. Granted this system is old, however the core 2 duo is a great processor that's still up to web browsing and internet streaming, which is exactly what I was looking for

Biggest issue for me was that the displayport is video only. This means that even with a displayport to HDMI adapter you will not get audio to the tv. I ended up using the VGA output to the tv (thankfully my tv has a vga input) It would have been nice...

Computer worked

Cheap, comes with everything. Just what i was looking for

Some of the drivers where not installed properly.. if your buying this.. Better have someone tech savay around. It took me 4 hours to get all the drivers installed properly on the system. After that it worked flawlessly.. But its hard to find stock...

Love the vertical monitor but poorly packaged

Despite the amazingly poor packaging, everything was present and in working order.

I've always preferred my monitor in portrait aspect, that is, taller than it is wide. Alas, the rest of the world likes them ever wider and shorter. Very few monitors can rotate, even though most graphic desktops will happily rotate to match. One of...

I was horrified to find a split-open, worn-out cardboard box dumped in my driveway, the contents exposed to the weather. The monitor and the desktop case were surrounded by foam cages, which might have sufficed in an intact box. The monitor has a...

Terrible packaging, love my vertical monitor

I was surprised and pleased how fast this got to me, less than 24 hours! But I was horrified to find a split-open cardboard box dropped in my driveway by UPS. Barely taped and with the sides caving in, it was open to the elements. Inside were the case...

Very poorly packaged for shipping; they just wrapped the two biggest pieces in foam and then threw everything into a worn-out cardboard box with minimal taping. Shame ; On the theory that if it had been broken I could RMA it, I won't take off stars for...

Great Deal Computer In A Box

One again better than buying retail.

Do The math for the components, it is a GREAT deal, if it arrives not broken. Recertified with a recovery partition and decent performance for a 6 year old computer. For the average consumer, it is a good buy. Newegg shipping was great even with...

Packaging failure...

For the size of the box that this thing ships in, not having everything secured by foam, packing peanuts, or air pads is certainly just a product of laziness.

Good value, if nothing important breaks in shipping. The unit I received had the Wolfdale CPU. Due to the vague product description, I'm guessing whether you get Wolfdale or Conroe is a complete toss-up

The only item in the box that was secured with foam to avoid shock damage was the monitor. Fortunately my system came functional, but the keyboard was smashed ; The keyboard was literally broken where the NUM pad is

Wished I bought more than 2

With a WDC hard drive, I was able to download the free WDC Acronis backup software which is an excellent product. As long as you have a WDC hard drive or even an external USB WDC drive, you can use the free WDC Acronis backup software. I also plugged a...

This arrived with a disk that lets you install either Windows 7 Professional 32-bit or 64-bit. I purchased 4 GB of additional (used) memory for each computer, swapped out the 160GB SATA HDD for a 500GB Black WD hard drive, swapped out the DVD-ROM...

None, I only wish I purchased more than 2. Excellent price and fast Newegg Service

Simple and satisfying

1TB HDD. Intel duel core 4GB memory in a no non-sense case and windows 7 pro all for under 300 and shipping included. I will not complain one bit

None for the price

Excellent value

Buying any refurb is chancy, but I'd buy this one again if I needed it. This model is excellent for office and internet connectivity, imho.

Win 7 pro ; Booted first time with no issues ; Hard drive SMART data showed 20K hours and no issues ; WD hard drive rather than cheapo Seagate ; New keyboard and mouse ; Memtest and Prime 95 ran with no issues

None

So far, so good

Great price and especially since it comes with a 3 yr warranty

The hard drive was partitioned up as I had read in other comments but it was a zip to unpartition even for an average computer user like myself. So don't let that scare you off
