So far, so good

Great price and especially since it comes with a 3 yr warranty

The hard drive was partitioned up as I had read in other comments but it was a zip to unpartition even for an average computer user like myself. So don't let that scare you off

extremely slow write speed, slow read speed

Not happy

None

Two machines ordered, came DOA. Had to jump through the hoops to get RMAs issued and then shipping labels. Not worth the effort

HP DC7900

As one of the other reviewers said, you need to be handy with a computer and have some spare memory on hand. For a hobbyist, it's fun to play with. It can be made to be a really good computer but it's not that way out of the box.

Cheap, looks like new, easy to work on, small. Good brand (HP DC7900), snappy processor. Comes with mouse, keyboard, and power cord

First off, Windows 7 needs 4 gigs of memory to function properly. This computer has 4 memory slots taken up with 4 sticks of 512 mb's. Now you have to remove all four in order to install 4 new memory sticks of 1 Gb each at about $10 each. You'd be much...

Great 1st Computer (or a Spare)

I have purchased 3 of these boxes and they contains 160GB HD and 2GB RAM as delivered. Maximum HD is 2TB per drive unless BIOS is upgraded to newest version. Comes with 2GB of RAM in 4 slots - it can be upgraded to 8GB by using 4 sticks of 2GB DDR2...

Good value - Windows 7 64 bit - 2.93GHz Core 2 Duo

I needed to upgrade the RAM and HD. It's not a gaming machine

worked out ok in the end...

First, I want to emphasize that the problems I had were not caused by New Egg, but by their 3rd party partner. The machine that was delivered had 2GB RAM (4GB was advertised), 160GB HD (750GB was advertised) and an R-DVD drive (RW-DVD was advertised)....

In the end, I got the machine that was advertised, but it took some effort and time. See "other thoughts

Questionable 3rd party vendor

A Headache

Obviously gonna have to spend extra money on this.

Price is good ,and it looks good .I got a dvdrw instead of a dvdrom. A second pci express 16x to run two at 4x.Easy to work inside but they call it a compact tower .Noway it's huge def a full size tower.Looks very 1998.It was spotless inside and out...

somewhat large .I fired this up just to get a warning that the battery is dead.Took awhile to get it ti boot. Then I found out the windows license was expired.I had to call microsoft and try to get a new number from someone I couldn't...

Great purchase as long as you are not going to use it for online gaming. Customer Service was very helpful despite not being allowed to issue a refund. They did say, however, that they will authorize store credit upon return of the item, and for this I...

Great packaging, started up fine, runs great if all you need is for light surfing, typing, etc

Few scratches but not bad overall. Was purchased for my son for online gaming but it would not run. Went to store to buy more RAM sticks but they do not sell them as they are "outdated", gaming stick would not fit either. Wanted money back but was...
