HP Envy 23 d160qd

You can't blame computer makers as they try to shake off the low margin shackles of the commodity PC market. It's reasonable, though, to ask that they put out a product worthy of a premium price tag.

A lower-end version of the Envy 23 would make a decent, if unremarkable touch-screen all-in-one.

This high-end review configuration has no distinguishing characteristics, leaving it outmatched next to its competition in this price range.

A bland effort, the HP Envy 23 has nothing to recommend it over other Windows 8 touch-screen all-in-ones.

"HP has QC problems + horrible customer svc."

HP either has major defect issues, or we got incredibly unlucky with brand new computer and brand new printer - both defective. Computer arrived from HP and could not read dvd to set up printer. (HP printer that had arrived also was defective and had...

Given QC problems before we started even using computer, not sure there are many pros - need to wait and see if it works now. slim design, and quiet operation (except for rattling of the defective dvd drive.)

see summary below: between the computer problem itself (as well as a printer defect in the printer bought to go with the computer) and the terribly inefficient and ineffectual customer service that takes up huge amounts of the consumer's time, cons+.

"Great Performance at Reasonable Price"

Found it on the HP website for $1149.99. i7 3.1 processor, 8gb RAM, blu-ray player, no graphics card (extra cost option), wireless keyboard and mouse. After looking at your report and examining the graphs, I saw that there is not much difference...

Fast, versatile, economical, easy to set up and use. Reasonably large screen.

As with almost all new computers, lots of bloatware to get rid of.
