HP Envy Phoenix h9-1420t review: Gaming power in a subtle form

This mainstream gaming machine carries a comforting two-year warranty and provides top-notch, if not best-of-breed, performance and gameplay.

Great performance ; Fast gameplay ; Premium graphics card

Just one multilane PCIe slot ; No GeForce GTX 690 upgrade option ; Pedestrian case design

If you're not dead set on your gaming PC looking as if it had just escaped from a sci-fi movie, and if you’re sure you’ll never want to upgrade to a dual-video-card setup, the HP Envy Phoenix h9-1420T will give you excellent overall performance and...

HP Envy Phoenix h9-1320t

The HP Envy Phoenix h9-1320t ($1,800.89 list, as configured) is a Windows 8-equipped gaming rig that gives gamers a robust and more affordable alternative to pricier custom-built systems from boutique PC manufacturers. It's packed with enough...

Solid performer. Capacious 2TB hard drive. Tool-less chassis. Lots of room for expansion

Bloatware

The HP Envy Phoenix h9-1320t is a powerful ready-made gaming desktop that's worthy of serious consideration for power users and high-end gamers alike thanks to its considerable processing power, room for expansion, and built-in Blu-ray player.

Outstanding gaming performance for the price, Beats Audio delivers luscious sound

No SSD, Cooling fan spins constantly, Sloppy cabling inside the case

Lastly, HP backs the h9-1420t with a two-year parts-and-labor warranty. For a system at this price, we are happy to see HP double down on the industry-standard one-year warranty.

HP h9-1330 (H3Z60AA#ABA)

Case manager told me that if the 7670 it came with won't run certain games than don't play those games. Arrogant and stupid. This is after I told him the 7850 I purchased wouldn't post.

Small in size for the power. Not a bad price

Customer support with hp is a nightmare. Pc died on me twice and won't accept graphics upgrade

HP Pavilion HPE Phoenix h9t customizable Desktop PC

Extremely fast, large capacity and memory, good video card, 3.0 USB and is a relatively quiet unit. Still has a slight fan noise which is louder than my previous Pavillion 8100. This unit comes with a liquid cooling system but still needs fan for 600W...

HP Pavilion HPE Phoenix h9t customizable Desktop PC

I did a lot of research and with the discounts, etc, I couldn't have built my own computer for less, plus it came with a 2 year warranty. I've had the computer for about a month and I have had no issues. Runs really fast and graphics are sharp and quick.

HP Pavilion HPE Phoenix h9t customizable Desktop PC

I knew that I was trying to get the best and fastest machine I could afford and I was truly stunned by just how fast this machine works! It processes complex 3D graffics instantly and with a clarity that is almost unbelievable. There are now slowdowns...
