HP Omni 220-1080qd

Hewlett-Packard's $999 Omni 220-1080qd is a welcome mainstream all-in-one that lacks a touch screen. Rather than adding touch hardware and software to this unit, HP instead has included a fast Intel Core i7 CPU, plenty of RAM, a discrete graphics card,...

The HP Omni 220-1080qd offers some of the best performance available in a sub-$1,000 all-in-one desktop.

I always cringe when an all-in-one, particularly with a 23-inch display, lacks an HDMI input.

HP's nontouch Omni 220-1080qd all-in-one boasts a strong, performance-oriented configuration that will satisfy anyone looking for a mainstream desktop.

HP Omni 220-1080qd

The Omni 220-1080qd's integrated speakers will provide a great listening experience. While watching the "Inception" trailer on YouTube I noticed the depth of the "Bwah" sounded fuller. You can turn the Beats Audio on and off through a shortcut on the...

Powerful Core i7 processor. Big 1TB hard drive. USB 3.0 onboard. Blu-ray player. Integrated Wi-Fi. Wired keyboard and mouse included. Beats Audio provides great depth in sound

Bloatware. No HDMI-in or -out port. Discrete graphics can't play high-end games

The HP Omni 220-1080qd may look like an unassuming all-in-one PC, but underneath hood it has a powerful quad-core processor and discrete chip to boot.

HP Omni 220-1080qd

The HP Omni 220-1080qd is one of the few all-in-one desktop PCs that doesn't come equipped with a capacitive touch screen. Rather, HP has designed a desktop with a better Core i7 CPU, discrete GPU, and USB 3.0 interfaces—which is more than most...

"Computer crashed within the first 2 weeks!"

I researched this computer for a long time before I decided to buy it. I read so many good reviews on CNET and Consumer reports. It may be a good computer if it didn't crash all of the time. I've had to reset it back to factory setting 5 times and had...

Large HD screen, fast processor, easy to set up.

Needed motherboard replaced after a windows update.

"HP OMNI 220Q: Save your money!"

I have yet to figure out how to adjust the monitor settings. When I contacted HP, they sent me to a Compaq monitor site, which of course was of no help at all. HP's average response time is over a week, if they respond at all, which is normally the...

I got 12 months of no interest, with no payments.

I got the I-7 with 8GB RAM, 2TB HD, souped up graphics card, and most of the bells and whistles this model has to offer. My OLD base-line computer, with 3GB of RAM was faster / more responsive. This thing is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. I'm so disappointed.

"MAJOR HARDWARE FAILURE WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH!!!"

I thought - based on the professionals' reviews - that I was buying a high quality product. Now I'm being told by HP that their "quality" service to fix their defective product will leave me without any computer for the next 3+ weeks. I run a small...

This product worked very well for the first 20 days (only).

Yesterday, I experienced a hardware failure after 20 days of use. The screen will not display at all. HP now asks that I ship it back, saying they will take 10-12 business days to look at it, and 3-5 days to ship it back to me. They won't replace it.
