HP Pavilion HPE h9-1120t Phoenix

The HP Pavilion HPE h9-1120t Phoenix is a great desktop for anyone looking to buy a ready-made gaming rig on the cheap, but with a little configuring, you can do just as well elsewhere for less.

Quad-core Intel Core i7-3770K (3.5GHz) processor. AMD Radeon HD 7950 with 3GB dedicated memory. Solid performance. 2TB hard drive offers plenty of storage space. Has 15-month subscription to Norton Internet Security 2012

Turbo Boost overclocking is crippled. Cheesy "window" is just a vent with plastic on it

HP Phoenix h9-1120t System Review: HP's Gaming Desktop Round Two with Tahiti and Ivy Bridge

Less than four months ago we had in for review HP's entry to the gaming desktop market, the Phoenix. We found that it was a compelling product that served a market segment that had gone largely ignored by the major vendors, though the Sandy Bridge-E...

When I reviewed the initial launch of the HP Phoenix, I felt like it was a good idea and essentially competitive. True, the Sandy Bridge-E model we reviewed was never going to be that compelling, but the chassis design is solid and the thermals are...

HP Pavilion HPE h9-1120t Phoenix

What a difference a few months (and some brand-new components) can make. When we last looked at an HP Phoenix tower in February 2012, the AMD-powered $1,049 model h9z, its performance—while certainly solid for moderate gaming and productivity...

Very strong productivity and gaming performance ; Decent expansion options for case size

Case's design and build quality suffer by comparison to high-end components ; At this price, an SSD would be appreciated

If you're looking for a powerhouse PC under $2,000 for productivity and high-end gaming, HP's Phoenix h9t delivers the goods. Its aesthetics could be a bit better for this price, however.
