HP TouchSmart 520-1050y

Hewlett-Packard missed the mark with its retail-only HP TouchSmart 520-1050y. Yes, this system hits most of the major notes I expect of a $1,049 all-in-one, but the fact is that you can buy an identical version of the TouchSmart 520 directly from HP...

The retail-only HP TouchSmart 520-1050y offers solid performance for its price, and has most of the features we look for in a midrange all-in-one.

The lack of an HDMI input is inexcusable, but worse is the fact that you can get the same model for $50 less via HP.com.

HP does shoppers a disservice with the inconsistent pricing between this otherwise decent retail-only desktop and the more affordable, identical model available via HP's Web site.

"best Touchscreen desktop at the moment"

The online price is very competitive. This is one of the best all rounders for the whole family ever from an American company!

Tried them all and have to admit HP makes the best touchscreen for now. Power usage is one of the best around and performance is very good for the money.

None really except having a microfiber cloth is essential to make touchscreen work smoothly.

"Very Good value and reliable!"

I think a fact that HP pricing was not consistent should not have been a major contributor to this very efficient HP model.

Did everything an office need! Even our in-house graphic designer loved it.

Wish there were more touchscreen software out there!

HP touchsmart 520-1070

Easy to set up and get started. I love the 27 in monitor and the all in one design. Wish it came with a full version of MS Office and was Windows 8 ready. It can be upgraded but several touch screen features from V8 will not work with this hardware....

I'm Happy I went back to HP

I returned two Samsung touchscreens. The first samsung touchscreen the front screen was separating up by the webcam. The second samsung touchscreen, windows was so messed up because of some of the samsung drivers that I had to reformat with the windows...
