Great while it was working

The computer is great if you get one that functions for more than a week.

Great speed; there wasn't anything that really took time to load even while multi-tasking

About a week after i bought it, the blue screens have begun; i'm at the point now where it randomly shuts down and says there is an error with the RAM but when it does the test, no problem. In addition, i thought i could just get a replacement since...

Update to my review

I wish I could edit existing reviews, but I can't, so I'm posting this separately as an update

As posted by another reviewer, this has a Palit GTS 250 "GREEN" video card, which is NOT the same as a normal GTS 250. The "GREEN" is a low power, LOWER PERFORMANCE version that is downclocked at least 10% overall compared to the "real" GTS 250. It...

iBUYPOWER Gamer Extreme 938i Intel Core i7 860(2.80GHz) 4GB DDR3 500GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

So far so good.

High end gaming computer with a cheap price

Memory and DVD-Rom are unbranded. Although it has a lot of USB slots, they do not always work - sometimes this slot works but later it does not work, and a while later it works again

Good value but some snags

So I think this system is a good value, but at the same time there were some annoying config and setup issues.

This is a pretty good price for this combination of powerful CPU, 4 gig DDR3 1333 memory, Win7 64-bit, and a decent video card. I bought it during the Thanksgiving sale, with Bing cashback on top of the already-low price

I have bought IBUYPOWER systems before, and I knew at this price the system case would be no-frills. Which I'm OK with, I don't need a fancy case with neon, temp displays, etc. However, parts of the case with my system are very fragile. I unpacked it...

Know what you buy!!!

I'm keeping the PC; no other choice! It's kind of like a putting a Ferrari motor in a VW; fast, but limited! I'm disappointed in IBUYPOWER, expected more; ie., all the above plus had to remove the video card to install the wireless; the SPIDF to VGA...

Intel i7 860 CPU; Windows 7 ; FYI the other components are:Xion 700W ps;A-data AD3U1333B2G9-B memory 2ea;Palit GTS 250 Green 1024M DDR3 256GB VGA;WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD; Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 micro ATX MB

Never forget you get what you pay for!! I wanted to upgrade the hardware and upgrade the machine. The PCI expansion slots on the MB are blocked by the VGA; with some difficulty I added a wireless PCI, but it tiiighttt and blocks the fan on the video...
