Great PC!

(Athlon X2 Dual Core 6000+ and 3GB RAM) I haven't had a single problem with this PC in heavy daily use for well over a year. Plenty fast for Vista Home Premium. I wouldn't run Vista with less than 3GB however. Energy saving features work very well. Nor...

A bit pricey

Great Machine!

this is a strage one - my dell, when factory set has a windows experience rating of 3.9. when i use the vista instalation disks, and do a non-factory set up and reinstall all drivers manually, my windows experience rating rises.

This is an excellent machine, does everything i need it to, would not hesitate to buy another dell again

not many, just a few little niggles - not enough USB ports on the back, and to many on the front, still having to use a hub, unless i want to look at wires all day

Brilliant Value For Money

Brilliant value, highly recommended especially to those people that require performance on a tight bugdet.

This was my first Dell PC. I bought it after my last PC died unexpectedly and I needed a replacement fast. I went for the 531 after a workmate of mine bought one earlier in the year and said how good it was

Nothing that I can think of. Even Windows Vista has been behaving itself :)

This was my first Dell purchase and was absolutely blinded by the service overall; the level of communication and visibility was great during ordering and delivery. The only niggle I had was that they were faster than I anticipated delivering the PC -...

Excellent entry level system. As long as your not trying to run the Crysis' out there it copes OK

I don't really have any to report I'm afraid. I didn't have many expectations other than the unit achieve what I was doing with my old PC (iTunes and WoW)

Inspiron 531 - Well Worth It!

Came with Windows Vista Home Premium. I've heard horror stories about how abysmal it is, but I've found it to be brilliant! Runs smoothly, keeps my computer safe and looks cool. It only runs slowly if you get RAM with low memory - Microsoft suggest a...

I got this about a month or two ago - works perfectly. It was delivered fairly quickly and the set-up was a piece of cake: very simple. The wide screen is great for watching films and the whole computer runs smoothly and can easily handle running...

Um, can't think of any really

I would definately buy from Dell again.

Bought the above a few months ago. Delivery was within 2 days to the uk and setting up time about 10 minutes. this is an excellnt producy and great value for money. I upgraded the graphics card to nvidia 8600gt , which was well worth it

The speakers you get with it are not too good

GET RID OF THE DELL TRIAL SOFTWARE. The PC was a gift for parents and the amount of pop up is really unwelcome. If the software is full version install it, if not leave it as an option!

Nice and fast for basic use

None really for price

Very good value for money

Does anyone ever USE Microsoft Works? A slightly better deal from Dell on an upgrade to MS Office would be a winner.

Worked out of the box. More than adequate performance for the price - quite able to support leisure and small business use. Handy front-facing USB slots. Good screen size and resolution

Keyboard most uncomfortable to use and very light - slips on polished desk

Inspiron531 Wow

will buy dell products in the furture because we feel that the Inspiron 531 was a very good deal adding the 17 in flatscreen and the Dell Printer 926 AIO. I went to Best Buy and Walmart circut city compairing the items that i got in all these stores...

This is a very capable and tight computer Blows Thur Burning Cd's

Ports on rear are not resessed so the hard wire sticks out of the back could be worse through
