Great Machine!

 

this is a strage one - my dell, when factory set has a windows experience rating of 3.9. when i use the vista instalation disks, and do a non-factory set up and reinstall all drivers manually, my windows experience rating rises.

This is an excellent machine, does everything i need it to, would not hesitate to buy another dell again

not many, just a few little niggles - not enough USB ports on the back, and to many on the front, still having to use a hub, unless i want to look at wires all day

Brilliant Value For Money

 

Brilliant value, highly recommended especially to those people that require performance on a tight bugdet.

This was my first Dell PC. I bought it after my last PC died unexpectedly and I needed a replacement fast. I went for the 531 after a workmate of mine bought one earlier in the year and said how good it was

Nothing that I can think of. Even Windows Vista has been behaving itself :)

Excellent entry level system. As long as your not trying to run the Crysis' out there it copes OK

I don't really have any to report I'm afraid. I didn't have many expectations other than the unit achieve what I was doing with my old PC (iTunes and WoW)

I would definately buy from Dell again.

Bought the above a few months ago. Delivery was within 2 days to the uk and setting up time about 10 minutes. this is an excellnt producy and great value for money. I upgraded the graphics card to nvidia 8600gt , which was well worth it

The speakers you get with it are not too good

GET RID OF THE DELL TRIAL SOFTWARE. The PC was a gift for parents and the amount of pop up is really unwelcome. If the software is full version install it, if not leave it as an option!

Very good value for money

 

Does anyone ever USE Microsoft Works? A slightly better deal from Dell on an upgrade to MS Office would be a winner.

Worked out of the box. More than adequate performance for the price - quite able to support leisure and small business use. Handy front-facing USB slots. Good screen size and resolution

Keyboard most uncomfortable to use and very light - slips on polished desk

will buy dell products in the furture because we feel that the Inspiron 531 was a very good deal adding the 17 in flatscreen and the Dell Printer 926 AIO. I went to Best Buy and Walmart circut city compairing the items that i got in all these stores...

This is a very capable and tight computer Blows Thur Burning Cd's

Ports on rear are not resessed so the hard wire sticks out of the back could be worse through
