This processor can be over clocked, not yet tried so cannot comment, went for i5 because that's what in my laptop and I am happy with it's performance

Supplied fan is noisy on initial start up but then goes quiet

Already built one gaming PC using the 4690k. Great chip with excellent performance and upgrade potential. Can be a little pricey at full RRP, especially as the next gen chips have been released. I bought both with sizeable discounts, so was a no...

Nice speedy chip fan is good and value for money is great running loads of stuff at same time and keeps up with it all. Not oc'd and fan sits nicely cooling things down. If were to oc would get a meatier fan!

It's not an i7.... But hey...

Intel i5 4690K 3.5GHz Socket 1150 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor

Great performance straight away, easy install.

Idles a bit hot compared to some other processors. This may be down to the stock cooler. Not really a problem though, there's no thermal throttling.

Intel i5 4690K 3.5GHz Socket 1150 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor

Very good product. Runs everything really just on stock. However, Rome 2 did stutter on full settings, so after adding some cooling I clocked this up to 4ghz (which was easy on the MB) and no stutter from Rome 2 now and it has been stable for a few...

Wanted an I7... But don't actually need one as the i5 is doing the job.
