IOGEAR WiFi Finder GWF001 - wireless network detector

Well, it works as advertised I guess -- if you read the fine print, so my rating may be unfair. It locates hot spots, but it does not tell you if they are secured, so basically useless for me.

Basic WiFinder finder let you find out if there is WiFi without turning on your laptop or Ipod. It will not tell you if they are secured or open to the public.

Compact, reliable ,convenient and a good price for what it does. Takes the guess work out of locating a convenient Hot Spot while on the road. I would highly recommend this locator.

Have used this mostly when traveling. It can be confused in airports, for example, where there is more than one wireless network in operation. Next time I would purchase a more expensive device that can sort signals and networks. At home it is...

This items does what is supposed to do, quickly and easily. Push a button and look at the resulting lights. Doesn't get much easier.

This hotspot finder works great and as advertised, however, most spots required a key to access the connection. You don't know that it will require a key until you turn on your laptop and attempt to connect.

Iogear GWF001 Wireless WiFi HotSpots Explorer works as advertised. Great little product, I bought two of them. dw USA :-)

Does a good job detecting networks although doesn't indicate whether they are secured or open.
