Lenovo IdeaCentre K220

In performance, the $649 (as of 8/23/09) Lenovo IdeaCentre K220 beats nearly all of its ultrainexpensive rivals. But one competitor on our Top 10 Value PCs chart crushes the IdeaCentre badly enough in both general and gaming performance that it's...

Great price for its general performance ; Above-average storage capacity

Unplayable gaming graphics ; Dreadful selection of connections

Lenovo IdeaCentre K220

The IdeaCentre K220 is housed in an updated version of the K210 case. The new system is more monochromatic than its predecessor, with black the dominant color. It's a standard minitower chassis, but subtle beveling and indentations make the system more...

Quad-core in a value-priced desktop. Light on crapware. One-key rescue system. Antibacterial keyboard. Tool-less upgrades. Large hard drive. Veriface visual log-on (when paired with optional webcam)

Memory slots full. 90-day Trend Micro Internet Security trial subscription. Office trial

The Lenovo IdeaCentre K220 is attractive, full of features, light on crapware, and smokes the competition when it comes to getting things done quickly. What else could you ask for from an everyday, general-purpose PC?

This Computer is Amazing!

I threw in an Nvidia 8500GT I had in storage for maximized HD performance and bought a Creative Titanium sound card with optical out for incredible sound quality. We have it set up on our 50 inch Toshiba HD TV. Our 5.1 Polk speakers with Pioneer...

Speed, price, plays Blu-Ray, HD Dvd's, regular Dvd's, and burns whatever you want. Has 64 bit Vista which has been great so far. Our other media center PC is an Acer with a Intel Quad Core 6600 processor. It cost us a lot more than this one about a...

Lot's of bugs and annoyances with my Acer but with this Lenovo I have found absolutely zero cons. Well, maybe the Blu-Ray playing software could be better but that's about it
