Lenovo 3000 J105 small business minitower reviewed

With a street price of under $500 you certainly can't expect to get the company's high-end jet pack and armor-plating features, but according to PC Mag's review, Lenovo still manages to pack some solid performance into their 3000 J105 small...

Lenovo 3000 J105

The Lenovo 3000 J105 ($529 direct, without monitor) is the first Lenovo-branded desktop, not ThinkCentre-branded, to be sold in the U.S. It's an entry-level system built with the small-business user in mind. Even so it manages to exude a subtly...

Quiet. Inexpensive. Includes business-oriented software and utilities. ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery

No PCIe card slots. Included Norton Internet Security subscription lasts for just 90 days

It may be odd to see an AMD chip in a business PC, but the Lenovo 3000 J105 surprises us with an attractive yet low-cost desktop for the home office.

Lenovo 3000 J105

The Lenovo 3000 J105 is best suited for basic office and home productivity tasks; but with limited upgrade options and a one-year warranty, better deals are out there.

Affordably priced ; Decent suite of system utilities and restore tools

No recordable DVD drive ; Lacks support for PCI Express expansion cards ; Small 80GB hard drive ; One-year warranty not enough for business users

NOTE: Products in this test are for comparative purposes only and are not necessarily available in the Australian market.

Gotta work out the quirks...

We purchased three of these boxes, but two of them would not boot. Turned out to be a RAM issue and they came out and fixed them promptly. These machines have been working great ever since (no problems at all) and are definitely very fast!

Decent looking machines ; 64-bit AMD Processor ; Easy to work on ; Front panel USB/Audio ; DVD/CDRW Drive

Initial issue with ram ; Looks may not appeal to everyone

Great Lenovo PC ”

This lenovo PC is amazing. Great keyboard and mouse. Great GB for regular PC usage and enough memory for basic computer files. Would recommend it to anyone in my family.
