Pressed into Office service

I new buying it for the shop I got it for that it had not SD card read. But one would have been nice.

This computer was pulled right out of the box and pressedinto service as a garage shop computer. Software for the computer and cameras all installed like a dream in three hours it was on line for work. No problems to date

great for the price!

1. Lenovo phone support su_x. How hard is it to understand "Can you send me the pin outs for the motherboard connectors?" I know you have the information. Will you give it to me or not? f.u. 2. Specifically, I was looking for a description of the...

What else can you ask for at $349 ; Good starting point for cheap ; You cant build for anywhere near this price ; Super easy to get into and START MODDING ; Not the latest and greatest, but a good solid replacement for my old, sad, tired XP machine ;...

Not really big cons ; 1. Need to upgrade RAM. I bought 2X2GB for $24. Easy and cheap ; Get 8GB if you plan to go to 64bit, but I think the 32bit is just fine. Especially if you are running ancient (old and cranky like me..) programs, like I am. I have...

Great overall system for the $$

Easy to setup, great performance, very quiet, and very affordable. For day to day task this system is great

Windows 7 32-bit will only be able to use 3.25G RAM if you thinking about upgrading memory. There are ways to work around this as other reviewers have mentioned by essentially upgrading to Windows 7 64-bit, but if using for basic tasks upgrade to 4G of...

ThinkCentre M58 (7244A36)

Wiped the machine, reconfigured it to run Windows XP Professional. Added extra 2GB RAM from for less than $17. Runs pretty faster even with an older Adobe Creative Suite CS3.

For $250, it's great machine for basic tasks like web surfing and email. Lenovo has all the drivers for Windows XP if you decide to go that route and skip the pre-installed Windows 7

Wish the hard drive is 500GB

Awesome value!

This case is easy to get into when you're reworking the system, and I'm extremely pleased with how easy updating drivers is with the ThinkVantage software.

Like other reviewers mentioned, you'd be hardpressed to put together a decent computer like this one for the money. True, it has a 32-bit OS, but you can easily download (and legally, at that) a Digital River disk image to reformat the hard drive with,...

None so far other than needing to reformat the hard drive to reinstall a 64-bit disk image

Excellent Value

Kudos to Newegg for fast shipping. Kudos to Newegg for the best price by far. I bought this for my kids just so they would stay off my computer. I thought it might be slow with only 2 GB's of RAM but after using it, I see no need to add more RAM. For...

Quiet ; Fast Enough to handle most any task

I cannot complain about anything at this price point

Cant make pancakes :( Really considering in upgrading the video card really soon, because i'm wanting to do lite gaming (well my games) and could also use a sharper quality in pictures and video as well.

Can't build my own pc for this price. This Lenovo pc is truly a good bang for the buck, it's quite fast after I added my old 4gb of ddr3 ram in it a few moments ago and it runs really great. I'm highly considering in an SSD, but that will be later on...

It is quite noisy cause some parts may feel "loose" but after I put my hand down on the tower the noise goes away, I kept moving it around and move minor things here and there and noise went away. Built in speaker?? It's cool, but I don't like it...

Nice solid little box

I couldn't build an equivalent system and include a Windows 7 license for what this box is selling for. I threw in an additional 2GB of memory (Crucial CT25664BA1067, Newegg Item # N82E16820148149) to bring it up to all that Win7 32 bit could deal with...

Very inexpensive for what you get

None really other than all the "junkware" that you'll probably spend a couple of hours removing. I just noticed that the price increased by $20 over what it was when I purchased it
