Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p: Business-Class Desktop PC Lacks Frills

If you love the old-school look of Lenovo ThinkPads, but you want desktop performance and pricing, check out Lenovo's ThinkCentre M91p series. This machine packs second-generation Intel processors into a slim, retro-style case.

Plenty of USB ports

Poor performance, for the price

It has the look of an old-school ThinkPad, but you can get similar performance and better specs at a lower price.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p

The system has a decent amount of internal room for a USFF PC. The top of the case pops open by pushing a blue tab on the back panel, and the whole chassis opens clamshell-style to present the system's compact motherboard. It has full-size optical and...

Compact form factor. High build quality. Includes PCI card slot, DisplayPort jack. Easily serviced

No HDMI, eSATA, USB 3.0 ports. Only one-year warranty included. Uses external power supply

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p defines the enterprise-class desktop, with an easy-to-service yet sturdy chassis. Its Intel Core i5 processor will satisfy your workers for a while.

Not so long ago, if you wanted a compact business PC, you'd have to dial down your performance expectations and pay several hundred dollars extra for the convenience of saving a few inches of office space. But the Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p 0266 (B8U)...

ThinkCentre desktop comes in a nice little package

The Lab looks at the ThinkCentre M91p, an Ultra-Slim Formfactor desktop computer to see how this type of computer holds up.

Good internal space management; good speed

Not much room for upgrades; integrated graphics performance is low

Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p review

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p is a slim, small-form factor PC for the office.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p is a solid performer at a reasonable price. It lacks a Blu-ray disc drive and integrated Wi-Fi, but shop around online and you may grab a bargain.

Good value for the money

The computer came well packaged and worked out of the box. It was quite fast for the price. Had no problems with pre-loaded Windows 7 and everything worked fine.

Came pre-loaded with a few annoying "bulk-ware" software that I removed.

Great units - purchased two for programming...

- good basic programming computer; not designed for gaming - solid working performance yet fair speed - no complaints excluding video chip that I still have to call on - arrived well shipped and within expected time range

- little marred on paint... expected from a normal used system - one of the units video chips smells of ozone... failing; yet to call

Weak Refurbish

If you have the time and knowledge to reload the proper things to make it work, then I would recommend this. If you just need to plug it in and go, I would recommend a new unit.

Price

This was the 2nd refurbished unit that I received. The 1st one just has blue screen and locked up. I returned it and I was sent this one... Same issues. I didn't have time to wait for another exchange process, so I had an I.T. guy figure out that a...

Fast and Cheap!

These look great and have very little wear. In fact, I can't tell them from new. I wish I would have bought more as now they are sold out

Out of the 3 I bought, one still had group polices on it that stopped me from loading software. Kind of a useless computer is you can't load software on it. I fixed the issue and it went smoothly from there. I have no idea how a computer that was wiped...

Good PC for Price, But not as advertised

Ram is SODIMM laptop ram not 240 pin standard desktop. Not really an issue but just be aware.

Price and Spec. Minimum bloat ware and One year warranty.

States that it has a 7200 rpm drive, but they shipped with 5700 rpm drives. This is a hit to overall performance. Fix the listing.
