MSI offers a wide range of 'All-in-One' PCs and the Wind Top AE1900 stands as the entry level machine from its 'Entertainment Series'
Great design, big-screen size, 802.11n WiFi, well-priced, memory card reader
Lacks real video firepower, headphones and microphone ports on the back
As an entertainment machine this Wind Top is a mixed bag. That said, if you aren't after HD playback and gaming, this machine makes an excellent web and e-mail PC and, since it also packs a memory card reader, you can use it to show off photos as well.
Separating the AE1900 from its all-in-one PC peers are its 18.5-inch, single-touch display and its affordable $529 (as of 7/2/09) price. Its screen is larger than the 15.6-inch Asus Eee Top ET1602, which is only $30 cheaper, and it has an integrated ...
Big touchscreen for the price ; Matches closest rivals in performance
Lower resolution makes images less crisp ; No upgrades
A nice, big display, a touchscreen, 802.11n wireless capabilities, available in black or white...the AE1900 seems to have the basics covered. But a lack of upgradability, along with picture quality that's average at best, pulls this system away from ...
We tested the entry-level Wind Top AE1900, but MSI also offers a more...
After a few grim years ceded to the iMac, PC-based all-in-one desktops are making an LL Cool J-esque comeback. Their next move: Make the switch from semi-luxe gear designed for highly-aesthetic environments to the mega-cheap world that the netbook has ...
Amazingly affordable and loaded to the gills. Touchscreen makes this a perfect kiddie computer. Slim profile lets it fit just about anywhere. Cuter than a box of puppies
Performance problems dog the user at every turn. Flashing blue hard-drive activity light is front and center, terribly distracting and impossible to cover up. Bundled keyboard and mouse are beyond cheap. Webcam aim can't be adjusted
Great machine, especially for the price. I can not recommend any of the other Atom based machine due to the screen size. This one is dual core and hyper threaded. Pretty zippy machine. Keep in mind though Vista basic sucks! And or it sucks on this machine...
Fast, fantastic screen, good quality
Vista Basic, slow hard drive, tons of bloat ware
I am not sure what the deal with the previous reviewer is, it doesn't say anywhere that it can be mounted. The item is not very costly so what do you expect. The screen is pretty large and works well for what I use it for which is for a kitchen computer....
Speakers are pretty quiet, but that is not a big deal as you can just buy some 30 dollar logitech speakers to replace it. Windows Vista is SLOW on this machine, but windows Vista is slow unless you have a pretty high end fast computer. I would replace it...
HOW is possible that come with software error from factory???
look like a mac
just turn on it and get IO.SYS error (touchscreen) ; tech support is very bad ; told me return the computer and after 5 minutes told me restar computer or use restore dvd ; IT DIDN'T FIX IT!!! I asked them if msconfig will fix it and they told me NO ; but...
Wind Top AE1900 offers the touch screen function along with an easy and friendly user interface, MSI Wind Touch; you can simply touch the screen to access all PC functions. Wind Top AE1900 also considers user's needs by four sorting categories: work, fun, tool, and web. You can browse all of the options through your finger tips across the screen and start programs by touching the graphic icons. The next-generation PC control won't get any easier than this.Unlike the awkward techie design...
