Fantastic computer for a fantastic price!

C'mon, guys! You bought the machine for the same reason I did: To get a Core 2 Quad box with 3 GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for under 700 bucks! What are you griping about? It seems to me that most of your problems start when you start futzing with the...

THIS unit came to me in excellent condition and works flawlessly! I was skeptical of Windows Vista, from reading the reviews but Vista works great with this configuration! Maybe it's the 3GB of RAM or the fact that a 8500GT video card is such an...

I did read reviews on other websites that the original unit from Gateway came with a remote control that would have been nice. I also would have liked another optical drive, but I can use that as an excuse to buy a Blu-Ray later. And, as stated before,...

Darn Good Deal

No built in wireless network card.

Price. Just try and buy the components separately. Makes a great media PC. I loaded Vista 64 and got rid of alot of the slop they put on. I got Gateway to send me the install disks and the remote control for free under the 90 day warranty. All works...

Comes with a removeable media drive but you can't buy the proprietary drive anywhere. I think I will replace it with an extra HD

Great Company Horrible computer

Newegg has a sale on this computer so i couldn't resist buying it. I received and decided to put XP on it. Got the blue screen of death. Looked it up on line and found out Gateway uses some kind of SATA drivers that work with the XP installation CD....

Great looking computer works fast when it works

Could not install XP. The video card would not read a DVI cable (there is only a DVI output), I had to use a VGa cable with a dvi adapter

Don't Worry, Well Fix It

I hope sending it to Gateway they will make sure it is back to 100 %. It was an inexpensive computer for what you get, if you can handle the wait, time, and effort needed to get it going.

Delivery was fast 2 days. The computer runs very quiet (for the 5 min I had it out of the box), and looks beautiful not a scratch on it. Gateway's customer service associates are friendly, and was able to get a remote sent out to me for free (due to it...

DOA..... I believe the graphics card was bad; it would start up but nothing to the monitor or TV. I was a little leery when I saw the sticker on the VGA port saying use alternate video port, then slap, no workie. Gateway's customer service people are...

If you don't mind to reinstall everything

newegg is kind enough to send me a media center remote control for free; so i won't dispute it, thanks. Anyway, it is good for a guy like me to fool around with the PC. Next time, I will go back to build my PC from scratch for sure.

relatively inexpensive; gave you a dream of work-free flautless PC from a brand name

Upon arrival, Media Reader not working, TV tuner and Media Center not working. Called Gateway, a technical person blamed it on Newegg and directed me to do recovery, which resulted in a non-bootable hard disk. Told me to ship it to Gateway for repair....
