Some hitches, but it works!

Card installed easily (Dell Studio XPS 435MT running Vista SP2); automatically assigned LPT2 and LPT3. But my old, reliable HP Laserjet 5p wouldn't work. Searched in vain for updated driver, but HP's website says that for "legacy" printers like this...

Simple to install ; inexpensive

Frustrating lack of information when my printer would not work (resolved when I got through to tech support)

Works perfectly, easy install

I previously tried a parallel to USB adapter cable (not from newegg) and Vista 64bit would not recognize.

Super easy install. Plugged card in, Vista 64bit recognized new device, installed drivers & created LPT2 & LPT3 ports automatically (be patient, this took a few minutes). Did not need driver disk. Installed on a Dell XPS 435 and connected my HP4050...

None so far. Newegg and newegg users are awesome. Other feedback gave me confidence to purchase this for my 64 bit Vista. Thanks

Doesn't Work in All Applications

Both use chips from MOSCHIP - but the Rosewill was a diappointment since it's operation in all applications of Serial Ports cannot be trusted.

Inexpensive - worked in one application requiring Serial Ports

Caused a HARD LOCK UP of multiple, identical PC's based on ASUS A8N-VM motherboard in another application requiring a Serial Port. This application works fine with the ASUS on-board Serial Port as well as the StarTech PEX2S552 Serial Port Card

It works very well for my application

I was looking for an inexpensive serial port card for my new PC which only had PCIe sockets unfilled. I simply wanted to reconnect my APC BackUPS Pro 650 to my PC, nothing exotic. The new PCIe cards are considerably more expensive than standard PCI...

I really don't have any cons at this point. My only comment is to follow the instructions carefully. This board required 4 runs through the new installation wizard, as it appears that 4 different drivers are required to be installed
