X50

Shuttle's X50 all-in-one PC has a 15.6-inch, 1366-by-768-resolution LCD touchscreen, the same size as the display of its direct rival, the $600 Asus Eee Top 1602; it also has almost identical specs. But whereas the Eee Top 1602 (as well as Asus's Eee...

Competitive price Slick design

Slower than some value PCs Poor power button placement

We've spoiled the ending by now, but here goes: Shuttle's X50 is a netbook concealed within a 15.6-inch desktop monitor. It faces stiff competition from the Eee Top 1602, and for value-desktop converts, the omission of an optical drive, the slower...

Shuttle X50 (AIO)

Review updated 7/21/09: Shuttle's X50 all-in-one PC has a 15.6-inch, 1366-by-768-resolution LCD touchscreen, the same size as the display of its direct rival, the Asus Eee Top ET1602. The specs of the two systems are almost identical, too. But whereas...

Slick design

Poor power button placement

Despite its upgradable RAM, it's hard to recommend the X50 when cheaper rivals offer larger screens and built-in DVD drives.

The Shuttle X50 AIO - Dual-Core Atom Goodness

The Shuttle X50 All-In-One is a 15.6-inch wide screen display based nettop machine that's slim and delightfully portable. It also comes configured with a dual-core Intel Atom 330 processor to give it a needed edge over your common netbook and even some...

Shuttle X50 All-in-One PC Review

Intel's Atom platform has been a huge success since it has launched, without the Atom chip you probably wouldn't know what a netbook is! With its huge success many companies are creating all types of different products based on the Atom. With this...

Stylish design ; Can easily fit anywhere ; Plays HD video ; One of the most powerful nettop's out there

Dull display ; Touch screen is not needed ; Keyboard and mouse not included

Final Thoughts We are pretty new to the whole nettop all-in-one pc’s here at ThinkComputers, but they are pretty cool. An entire computer all in a very small frame around a display, much like Apple’s iMac's, but in a smaller form factor. The X50...

Shuttle XVision X50 All-In-One Atom 330 PC

Shuttle's equivalent of the Asus Eee Top packs in a faster processor and tougher touchscreen.

Shuttle X50 review

Has the touchscreen nettop finally come of age?

Touchscreen

Vista keyboard too small ; Underpowered ; Poor screen

This is sadly not a very useable touchscreen device. We would recommend checking out the MSI Wind Top or hold off for the next gen of Windows 7 touchscreen PCs

Shuttle X50, the lightweight PC you can carry with you

A very likeable all-in-one – albeit limited in its usefulness beyond basic functions. Read our review of Shuttle's new all-in-one X50

Great touch screen

Our company purchased many of these shuttle touch screens and they work great ; We use them for "Visitor Log-ins" in our lobbies

A bit pricey

Compact and Reliable

With all the spare space inside Shuttle should consider an i3 Core version.

This all-in-one PC is compact and feature rich. I have two and both are in harsh environments. The touch screen is accurate and reliable. I installed 4gb ram and an SSD to compensate for the relatively slow processor. Windows 7 Professional works fine

The Atom processor is slow but comsidering the power and heat concerns it is understandable. The 4gb ram limit is also an Atom related issue. The connectors could be placed in better locations as well

Fair value

Sounded great in the description. Installed Ubuntu and had to get into the BIOS to get the wi-fi(even a usb wi-fi device) and webcam to work. The video memory is set at 8MB and cannot be increased. My wife's Nook tablet has better video. Even youtube...
