Great PC Alternative form factor

Dimensions of 'required' heatsink are misleading; you can use many; I used Rosewill RCX-Z90-AL 92mm Sleeve CPU Cooler and a RCX-Z90-CP (copper core) on two different builds with equal outcomes on Intel Q8200 Quad processors with good results using...

Self-contained; PS and MoBo included; lots of CPU alternatives; fast memory support (8GB/Win7-64bit); on-board video; quiet. Front panel option access

Second (lower) 5.25 HD may bump against your heatsink/fan if too tall; 3.5 might be better

Oh.. I meant to mention the onboard audio and video are quite good. I haven't taxed the video much however early signs look great

Bought 10, one failed

I wish it also had USB 3.0 and eSATA. To make backups easier, I used the 5.25" slot for one slim DVD burner and one dual trayless 2.5" HDD bay. I also hope that the Socket 775 line of CPUs won't be terminated too soon, it has been super-reliable in my...

Nice small form factor for a low price with the best of both worlds: Legacy stuff like PCI, VGA, PS/2 ports, Socket 775, and newer stuff like PCI-Express x16, DVI port, and DDR3 RAM

Of the ten I assembled, one was dead (no power on) in the morning after running memtest86+ overnight. I swapped the power supply, no dice. I reused the CPU, memory, and HDD elsewhere without problems, so the failure must have been on the motherboard ;...

Great systems

Having owned many different Shuttle XPC's on and off for 10 years, I've owned one of these for well over a year without any problems. I recently purchased one when they were on special for a client and they've had it up and running with no problems...

Inexpensive, attractive, upgradable (PCIe, 8GB ram, 2 hard disk bays) and very quiet

No HDMI, no Toslink, pretty much requires a PCIe video card. Power supply can be stressed but a higher wattage model is offered by Shuttle for $70

Yes, I know that I can buy a processor without a fan, but NewEgg often has the ones with fans at a lower price than fanless.

This is a nice Shuttle, and I've been buying Shuttles for many years. It's always seemed a little silly to me that I have to throw away the fan included with my processors. This shuttle uses that fan. The fan that's included with this shuttle is A...

It's a little bigger than the classic. It's also a bit heavier
